I’ve visited and/or telephoned every garden centre in Oxfordshire and there is not one single camellia to be had, let alone in my preferred shade of pale pink! Don’t they realise I have Autumnal Achieving to achieve??? Grrr. It’s the right time of the year to plant camellia; some garden centre staff said they had sold out, some said they were still waiting for them to come in, and some just shrugged.

My chronic pain condition has been being silly so not huge amounts of anything achieved, but the toaster has been turned upside down over the bin, and sweeping has been done where the crumbs went everywhere but inside the bin

well I have cleared my spare room ready for the flooring chaps tomorrow (they are coming a day early, but luckily I had set aside today to finish clearing as I’m going to be out tomorrow). Apart from the physical effort of moving two beds, a chest of drawers, two bookcases and a desk, plus innumerable boxes of toot, I am mentally exhausted by the decision-making and the sheer amount of Stuff I have.
I haven’t had time today to go through every drawer, box and shelf but I’m determined that it’s not all going back in the room!
I will be finishing work in December and then some stuff can be shredded/recycled. Some other stuff needs to find a new home. I have already taken two bags to the charity shop, and tomorrow I’m visiting the second-hand bookshop.

I’m sure that if someone had removed most of this I wouldn’t have been able to tell you what was there!

I’m torn between seeing if I can have the other two bedrooms done while I’m already in a state of disarray, and just putting everything back and letting things settle down again. I’ll see what their availability is.

Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.

That's why I get annoyed with having bread in the house. Unfortunately I quite like toast, but it does make a lot of mess.

I finished a posh tin of biscuits I bought for my aunt for Christmas. I haven't seen her seen and they were bbe September. The tin is a musical carousel and I'm going to fill it with chook treats and train them to come running to the tune as if it's an ice cream van.

I've also binned a pair of joggers that had a whole in them. And I've washed my painting/DIY overalls.

I had intended to be more productive but work has wiped me out.

I did have eggs for lunch though (bacon and egg sarnie) and have been reminded of berry Dutch babies which I might make tomorrow because I have garden berries in the freezer.

I am adjusting to being back in our main winter bedroom. I have been having "fair" sleep according to my Fitbit for the last five days which is dramatically better than last week when I kept getting "poor" sleep so I feel so much brighter. I woke up early today and I have dusted, vacuumed and gone through my handbags and I am donating six more of them. I really have to stop buying bags from charity shops! My October resolution!

I have to go and pick up a prescription and I have an afternoon appointment so I will pick it up before then.

I have another book ready at the library so I am going to start my current book so I can return it next week.

Window cleaner and cleaner both come today, so I've opened the windows to air the house and am busy trying to get things tidier so the cleaner can be more effective! It's been nice having a break from the builders, but I do need to get on with some of the other things on my list.

I took a small bag of stuff to the charity clothing bin. I posted a letter from weeks ago.

I found the ATM card I needed and the pin, to get some money owed to me, but discovered the local shop no longer has an ATM 😞

I finally got my digging done and all 18 of my roses have been pruned back and planted! I cannot wait until next May when they start growing once more.

The hula hooping - truth be told, I've not really got the hang of it past 4 rotations despite daily practice (10 times before I get fed up of it). I know I need a lot more practice if things are ever going to click for me.

October's skills challenge for me is to learn to crochet, ready for poppies next month.

No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

I've measured all the kitchen units and worktop ready to list them for sale when they're taken out. I guess I should put the details into FBMP as draft in case I lose the bit of paper in the chaos. I'm not looking forward to dealing with all the idiotic questions I'll get!
