Line Rental
unlimited Free calls evening and weekend
8 meg broadband.
And they just gave me a free wireless router for no reason.
how can it be a poor deal for £3.10 extra a month + one off £14.99 delivery charge you get a laptop.
24 months @ £3.10 = £74.40 + del charge = £89.39 for laptop0 -
Hi, my parents got one of these when it came out but they haven't yet seen any phone bills. Is there a way to check their monthly billing without having AOL software installed?Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

But many of us have to pay BT line rental anyway.
None of the really good deals are available on my exchange - TalkTalk, Sky, Tiscalli, etc so I am currently paying £17.50 per month for a relatively (1mps) connection, plus £10.50 per month BT rental.
The AOL deal does sound good because as has been said previously for 315 delivery & £2.50 per month I get a faster broadband and a laptop.
It's just that I hate signing up to anything for 2 years.0 -
this is a great deal for existing customers - we've been paying AOL £17.99 a month for years, an extra couple of quid a month for a free playstation is great!
in 2006 i bought a dell laptop for £750 that wasnt anywhere near as good as the one they're giving away for free - so overall a pretty good deal!
the only worry is that there is now a 40gb monthly cap, sometimes i use that in a week!0 -
I agree it is a good deal, I've got my laptop now and it's great!Total debt May 2005 £83,232
Total Debt November 2009 £0! DEBT FREE!
Proud to have dealt with my debts

I am seriously thinking of taking up this offer. Currently have AOL broadband at £19.99 without it being wireless, and BT for my phone and line rental which adds £30 a quarter.
I am thinking that paying £15 delivery to switch if carphone are now saying existing customers. I think its worth the contract tie in or am I missing something. Am also thinking for extra £2.50 a month I will get free weekend and evening calls.
Is it idiot proof to set up though? I have cables at the moment, will it just be a gadget I plug in at the junction box?
If I were to set my old desktop up for broadband what would I need to make it talk to the wireless and how much?I think I am going slightly mad.....0 -
I would be extremly wary of signing up to aol for 2 years i too am a current subscriber and when i was out of contract they couldn't have been more helpful, as soon as i was tied into a contract again the CS to say the least has become awful all of a sudden they don't seem to be able to help with anything, if i have an issue it must be my pc etc etc0

I am a current dial-up subscriber paying £15.99 a month and am very tempted by this laptop deal. Signing up for 2 years may be an issue for me though as I may move house before then. Am I still liable for 2 years of payments if I do indeed move?0

so tell me again how do i get this. i'm on aol bb but out of contract anyway. i'mm happy with the download limit and am paying £29.99 a month anyway0
