That's strange, my £200 is still showing as £200

Signed up via the link. Deposited £200 in to the GBP account. Nothing. Left it for a couple of hours. Still nothing.

Guess I'll try complaining to some AI chatbot.

Went through the MSE email link and opened account, picked NVIDIA for my free share, opened GPB account and deposited my £200. Got the free share straight away 😊. Now to wait for the 90 days and see how it does and decide if to keep the share or sell then. Very simple 😊

I went for the s&p tracker etf, but wished I'd been a bit more adventurous now. Do you think I can sell and buy a single stock?

Mine was instant. A friend experienced the same issue as you (not sure whether it was because he used login with Google). Anyway, they went to the AI chatbot then connected to an agent. The agent said my friend did not use the MSE link (how?). Told them he would close the account then so passed on to Operation Team to review. Hours later, the second agent reiterated the link was not used and eToro seemed could not care less so transferred the £200 back out and the account closed. Not the most trustworthy company it seems.

Wasn't too difficult to chat to CS tbh. They suggested I wait 7 days. I did tell them I hadn't been given the choice of stocks and got this response.

"Thanks for your patience, as i can see you have succesfully registered
via the promotion link, in this case, you can wait the 7 day period and
if you dont recieve the free stock you can contact us again and we will
assist you"

So they do have at least have a record of it on their system.

Yes, no problem. Just don't withdraw anything before 90 days min are up.

take 2 , after messing up my attempt by not funding initial payment by £200

Created a new account for my wife , added £200 got free £100 share immediately ( S&P 500 ) !

Looking at t&c;s you can have only one reward per household so even if I had not of messed up with mine , would have failed on my wife's , so nothing lost

Will teach me to read t&c's more carefully next time

I meant 90 days 🫣. Doing something else at same time as doing the post and made mistake. That’ll teach me to concentrate 🙂
