Nandos is one of the few places that we've successfully got my parents to try and them go in without us. Indian restaurants they still have to be talked through a menu and Chinese for them is take out not sit down, but Nandos they've grasped.

I always fill up at the pay at the pump, queues annoy me and no temptations - lol

Mr SA recently had the nuclear medicine for a scan on his pancreas.

You’re coping so well with all this, your positivity shines through and that must help your mindset. Have you got a date for the op?

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪
  • I don’t think I can pay at the pump at my local petrol station, although must admit I’ve not really looked. Would be a solution 😁

  • Thank you ☺️ Apparently they inject a radioactive tracer to locate the lymph nodes they need to remove in my arm pit (to make sure the cancer never made it there).

I’ve always thought that chemo was going to be the worst part and it wasn’t overly pleasant and therefore everything else is insignificant in comparison. I might be being naive 😂 Op is in 2 weeks, they’ll remove the small area that the tumour was originally in plus 2-3 lymph nodes to make sure they’re clear too 🤞🏻

  • Listed 9 things on v!nted yesterday, 2 have sold and a couple of others have a decent amount of interest. I’ll wait until tomorrow afternoon to see if anything else sells before posting the items… £27.50 so far. Any money from this will go into my personal spends pot anyway.

well done on vinted sales. I really like it when the "you've sold an item" message pops up 😀. Less so when a really stupidly low offer pops up 🙃

  • Haha, yes. Really cheeky offers!

Have sold 4 of 9 now and popped them in the post today, so £60 pending.

Took one of our younger boys to a driving experience today, it was a gift we got him off his birthday. We’ve done it before and he loves them ☺️

Those places are money pits though (and we’re suckers) On top of the original booking price… £50 for photos/videos, £20 for a high speed passenger ride for him and we booked him into an extra car ride as it’s a car he’s always wanted to drive £30. Ouch. But no regrets, he’s a sweetie and pretty low maintenance, probably our least expensive child 😂

£85 to last us until Thursday… we might scrape in

Memories are made at things like the car experience - priceless, as long as it's kept to special occasions like birthdays.

Hope you make it and manage to make the £85 last.

    A great memory indeed!

I have a memory, that still thrills me, of driving a Lotus around Silverstone, and the official driver telling me to go faster, go faster - I was already doing 120 mph!! I'm a self confessed petrol-head, and had a fab job in Marketing which included booking annual experiences, and of course I had to check that the experience was suitable. Another memory involved a competition to reverse a lorry into a marked bay. Much to the disgust of one particular male colleague, I won hands down, hah (still gloating 19 years later).

What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Thanks Ellen and Satchmo

It is lovely to make these kinds of memories, time really does fly. DD is 18 soon, so 3 of our 5 will be adults then 😮

Sold and sent another item on V!nted, balance pending is now £93.70
