  • Pay day!! We limped through, had £18 left in our account 🥴 (the Irish trip came out the FU cancer fund).

Pots filled, bills paid. We have £1400 to last the 4 weeks until payday, so £350 a week. I’m envisaging a quiet month because of my surgery, haven’t really made any plans as I’m not sure how long it’ll take to recover. That’ll definitely help our bank balance 😁

£18 surplus is good especially when you compare that to Thames Water's £16,000,000,000 deficit 😉

Great use of the FU cancer fund.

Sending lots of positive thoughts for your surgery.

  • Your NI trip sound lovely, congrats on the surplus.

Sending positive thoughts and good wishes for surgery x

  • Op went well, I was home by early afternoon. The surgeon was happy with how it went. It’s now a 3-4 week wait for the pathology results to see if the tumour has completely gone or if there are lingering cells that just didn’t show up on the scans. Either way, I’ll need radiotherapy but it’ll decide how much and whether I need more (maintenance) chemo 😣 Hopefully not.

In the meantime, I’m signed off work for 3 weeks to recover (seems a generous chunk of time!) and I am going to try and put it out of my mind and enjoy the time with no hospital appointments for the first time in 8 months 😂

  • We got a huge takeaway tonight out of the FU cancer fund 🐷 The children had bought me chocolates which they ‘helped’ me eat while we watched celebrity tr@itors together too. Was a really lovely evening 😍

I’m so pleased to hear that your op went well - you are a seriously strong lady 💪!! Those three weeks are necessary and deserved - take them guilt free x

I had an identical evening, if you swap the takeaway for fakeaway 😂 I wanted to see Celebrity traitors as the trailers had caught my attention and the whole gang, bar littlest, ended up sitting together and really enjoying it.

…no spoilers though. I’ve got the last half an hour to watch as we only caught up as far as the grave digging challenge!

I’m so pleased the op is done and went well. Fingers crossed for good results 🤞I keep meaning to watch Celebrity Traitors as I’ve heard lots of good reports about it.

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪
