DH gets paid tomorrow, thank goodness! Our account is down to £12 😱
I’m going to really try to stick to budget this pay cycle, I’ve definitely not bothered paying attention this month and it’s showing 😂
Watched Ver!ty at the cinema the other day.. but of an odd one. Excellent cast though. Watching sense and sensibility next week.. my DD loves the cinema as much as me and I use the meerkat vouchers to get 1 ticket free. The boys will come to m@rvel films, but that’s about it 😁

I think your DH’s advice is realistic and sensible. It is just not worth pushing through a return to work when you have more treatment about to begin. You’re amazingly strong from everything I’ve read, but there’s no real reward for going back before you’re ready x

I'd also suggest getting signed off, but I'd also raise it with HR that the OH assessment needs to happen before returning to work? Plus tell HR that you will have multiple appointments already being scheduled between now and radiotherapy.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3 -
Thanks
I’ve extended my sick note for 2 weeks… by then I’ll have had surgery results, oncology appointment, another dose of immunotherapy, up to date bloods and my Occy health appointment. That will all give me a much clearer picture for going forward.
Also, that’s a lot of appointments to fit in if I had tried to go back to work on Monday 🫠 I might start hitting the threshold of sick leave where my pay will drop to 50%, but I think I’ll just have to deal with that if it happens.

The most important thing is to look after yourself. You’re definitely not ready to go back to work yet. Take as long as you need even if it means half pay for a while.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪4
