  • My youngest is poorly today, full on 🤢. Usually I’d cuddle up with him on the sofa, but I need to be careful as chemo was only a week ago. Luckily, he’s old enough to understand but I still feel bad 😞

Sorry to hear youngest is unwell. No need to feel bad about keeping your distance your immune system won’t be at its best and it’s not something you need to catch right now. I hope it’s just a 24 hour thing and he’s back to normal tomorrow.

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪
  • Thanks Beanie, DITR & SA

There are some nasty germs going round in this new school term 🦠 He stopped being sick by midday but was very listless and sleepy this afternoon. Hopefully a good nights sleep will sort him out.

  • 6 days since I started my healthy eating plan and decided to do an early weigh in/measure:

    So Day 1 measurements were:

    Weight: 170lb

    BMI: 25.3

    Body fat : 33%

    Waist measurement: 32

    Day 6 (today):

    weight: 160lb

    BMI: 23.8

    Body fat: 33%
    waist: 31

Quite a big drop 😳 but a few pounds of that was losing the chemo bloat and a few more pounds would be water weight.

  • Little one on the mend, keeping him off today in case he had something contagious. Will probably keep him off tomorrow too and then he can recover fully ready for school again on Monday. Poor little thing.

Sorry to hear there’s been sickness in the house. Hopefully that’s it over and done with for the foreseeable!

  • Feeling a bit claustrophobic, little one still off today (but is much better) and I haven’t been out of the house for 3 days 🥴 He climbed into bed with me in the middle of the night for a cuddle, so hopefully he’s not still contagious! I have got loads of chores done though, so the weekend will be chore free.

We’ve decided to go to a Christmas market instead of one of the expensive light trails. Winchester and Guildford are both within an hour of us, so we’re debating one of those. I’ve heard the Bath one is lovely, but that’s 1.5-2 hours so a bit far.
We can get some lunch from one of the food stalls and we’ll give our under 18 kids a bit of spending money each. We think it’s a good compromise ☺️
