I just logged on to the new RWG website and it says my £3.50 per month plan expires October 2027 - wonder what happens when that date arrives?

My partner has had a completely free RWG sim for the past 10 years or so. She can't remember if she ever registered with RWG - it was before I met her so I don't know. She's never paid them a penny, never had an email\text\phone call from them, never contacted them (or Now), nothing - her phone just works. I wonder what happens if she just keeps going this way? Will her phone suddenly stop working? I tried contacting customer services but they didn't seem to understand the (free) deal she was on - just kept asking if there was a problem with it.

Obviously she's not much use to RWG as a customer, having never paid anything at all. Morally I think she should take out one of the cheap plans - but she says "what's the point, I'm happy as I am"!

I rang CS today. Went through the options. To then be cut off. So i rang again and got through to someone who i would say was foreign. It was a dreadful line, lots of fuzzy background noise and kept fading in and out so i couldnt get all the conversation and had to keep asking person to repeat.

i asked about adding my 2nd mobile number to the account. They asked me to login and they gave me a OTP to enter rather than the 123456 code which doesnt work. So my 2nd sim is now showing in my account.

I asked them about my missing credit. Person didn't seem to understand and seemed to say id gone over my usage. I still cant see how. But with the awful line im not really sure they understood my explanation. They asked me to email CS. I felt a little fobbed off. Cs seemed to want to get rid of me rather quick. So I have sent email and now await reply.

@ScratchyCat Hu again. Do you regularly do a text 'info ukrwg*' (whatever the code is for the 50/50/250 deal that I can't remember). Did you do one between the 28th May and June 1st? Those could show you didn't go over your usage, and one now of course for what it currently is. Sounds like you didn't get a very good CS agent and if you don't get a reply to your email in a reasonable amount of time, I'd ring again, hopefully you'll get a better agent. When I rang the one I got was quite good, he put me on hold and bothered to go and check and said I'd been incorrectly charged for a call and credited me.

@armith I'm guessing your £3.50/month was one of the previous 2yr deals going by the expiry. When you are logged in and look at your My Subscription on the Home page, is there an Auto Renew button there? If so you could contemplate using that nearer the expiry time of there aren't any other plans that you'd rather buy at the expiry time. If you then don't have another active plan then any usage will come out of any credit and then stop working if that runs out after which you'd have to top-up.

Your partner's one is an interesting one, I haven't a clue what the deals were back then. I spotted that on the Log-in page you can enter your mobile number which could at least indicate if it recognises a registered account by clicking 'Reset it Now' for forgotten password if nothing comes to mind. If it does and you can get logged in, you'll hopefully see what deal it was and if/when it expires BUT maybe it might be best to leave it alone until/if it stops working!

Yes, I've just found the email I used when I signed up for the £3.50 deal, it doesn't say anything about expiry dates but it does say "Guaranteed no price increases until the end of 2022". It also says Unlimited calls & SMS, whereas my new Dashboard says 3000 minutes and 3000 texts, which I'll never hit, my typical usage is probably more like < 1Gb per month mobile data, a couple of hours phone calls and half a dozen texts - and masses of everything else using WiFi. There's lots of other similarly priced mobile offerings in the market so if things do start to go wrong with RWG I'm not too concerned.

And yes, she's going to just keep quiet about her free thing 😶

Never paid for my trial RWG SIM, it had some free credit on as part of the trial; Gave up on them over the "wifi calling coming soon" fiasco !

However months afterwards my old phone with that SIM in, could still receive incoming calls - RWG obviously didn't have very good systems in place !

Has anyone else manage to get both the £15 (info ukrwg1) & £5 (info ukrwg0) on the same SIM?

Confused?? What do you mean on the same sim. Surely there 2 seperate numbers.

Are you meanig listed under one account.

Iirc rwg used to say you could have multiple bundles on.the same sim 'but only one free bundle' so if you had got the £5 topup bundle (ukrwg0) and then topped up £15 you would lose the 0 bundle and instead get ukrwg1. Or to look at it another way if you topped up £15 and got ukrwg1 you wouldn't get anything extra from topping up another £5.

The question is whether one sim can have two different live free bundles.

The answer I believe is no, although you could have both a free bundle and a paid bundle (e.g 5gb data)

I was about to say something similar -
Unless one of them has expired, you wouldn't want to get the other as one would overwrite the other from the way I understand the system works. In any case, neither of those "special deals" are available to buy any more, only active if you already have them.
