My laptop only showed the cat face and I was really confused until I scrolled down 😂

I've made progress on the house repairs, odd job man finally showed and measured and quoted.

Have finally put the screws back into my curtain poles so they don't keep moving about.

Now need to come up with a plan for packing up yet more of the house by the 17th as I'm hoping the new builders will start then and finally get the work finished. Mind you, I haven't had their estimate yet!

I finally read my gas meter and submitted it. I've used a lot less than they estimated.

We have been actually just doing things rather than letting them roll over, partly because the roll-over list is too long to put anything more on 😁

But it's quite nice temporarily being people who just do things, even if it is very much on borrowed from future energy!

Odd job man came a few days early and before 8am. I now have a skirting board (wrong size but I don't care), gutter and down pipe on the conservatory, and the fuse box boxed in (not the solar meter next to it though strangely).

I've also got my car MOTd.

Brilliant house progress @Rhyddid2026, especially imo dealing with early in the week and day arrival 😁

We are marching on in small ways getting new house/build admin stuff done, difficult to fit it around working and general exhaustion but any little job helps push the 'done that' line closer.

I had a migraine and I felt very tired from the affect effects so I had a few days at home this week. I have been decluttering and making up a couple of donation bags. I have also tidied the inside of my kitchen and bedroom cupboards and drawers.

I have been reading a lot too as I thought I have hardly read much at all this year as I've been busy going out socially. I have cancelled a few social things for this month so I thought I should get back to reading at home. I have read two Shari Lapena books this week that I enjoyed.Her books are very quick to read and usually hold my attention.

I have a night out in London tomorrow and I am dreading the hot weather traveling to the hotel. I am going to try and go to London on all the trains and tubes that have air con!

I have a long to-do list for next week!

Well done @Wednesday2000, doing anything at all is very difficult after a migraine or pain attack. Hope you're feeling better and had a not too awful time in the London heat!

My OAT for tomorrow is do the room by room pics and descriptions of what the builder still needs to do. I've been putting it off as it's going to be time consuming, depressing, and cause more jobs (in which tradesmen will have to come round for hours 😭) but it needs to be done so big girl pants on for one of the final pushes to get at least one aspect of this build blimmin done!
