Welcome back or aboard to our seasonal thread where we encourage each other to smash our OATs (Outstanding Annoying Tasks) or in my case show off about doing the really most minor things 😁
This is a big summer for me with finishing our build, packing up the flat, and moving to a new place and area so I will mostly be trying to motivate myself to do the very boring and intimidating and emotionally challenging things all that involves
What are others hoping to have done by the end of summer?

I am hoping to sort out an annuity with my last work pension that hasn't been put in to payment. That process is started but needs to pause while I wait for a diagnosis from the hospital as it will likely allow for a more enhanced result. This whole thing started 3 years back so is getting quite boring.
And then there's cleaning the room of doom which means my OH is going to have to help. Lots of his stuff hanging about but also it will take both of us to take down curtains that need washing…

I would like to have the driveway replacement booked (if not completed), DH's tax return done, some life admin filing done, boxes of sentimental stuff removed from the loft, sorted and replaced in loft, old company filing removed from loft and some shredded (I do some every couple of years as it runs through dates), V1rg1n renegotiated and a new mobile contract sorted for me. That includes a couple of biggies/ long term OATs. I'll be impressed if I get all of that done by Sept! 🤣

Thank you @PenniesIntoPounds and hello fellow OAT-ers!
I'm off work for more than 6 weeks before September so have no real excuse for not getting a load of stuff done!
Some things I'd like to do are…
- sort out the porch door (wooden, partly rotting)
- sand and paint fascia boards round living room
- grow some veg
- buy a new car (possibly 2!)
- shelves put up in craft room
Today's exciting OAT is we're booking a holiday! :)

Please may I join you? We have a fair few OATs mainly garden related although do have two cars to list and sell too. Have got DH onboard so hoping to end the Summer with less of a list! 🙏

My most important OATS are:
- Get the greenhouse gravel trays filled
- Fill the pots that go in the gravel trays with a mix of home-made compost, sieved topsoil, and commercial compost
- Plant up the greenhouse pots with tomatoes, cucumbers, and aubergines
- Set up greenhouse irrigation
- Plant squash, cucumbers, and tomatoes outside (with appropriate supports)
- Set up veg plot irrigation pump to use stored water rather than tap water.
All that needs to be done in the next 20 days as I'm away for a week and would like everything to survive! My cat sitter will water the newly planted borders, but I can't really ask her to do the greenhouse and veg plot as well.

I finally applied for my passport so that is being delivered tomorrow. I just ordered some new tops and some A3 frames as my friend did a pet portrait for me. I need to start my new book group book today as that is in a couple of weeks time. It feels like back to Autumn here as it looks like it is about to chuck it down.
I was meant to be getting some work done on my house this week, but that will probably be delayed because of the weather!

I finally made some progress on the kitchen drawers. I was planning one a day from 20th May and it took until today to do 3 more. I have one normal and two big drawers left to do so plan to tackle more of them tomorrow.
