I started the day in the same way, sleeping in and reading and snoozing.

I've continued de-doggifying the house, I've washed the blankets from the crate and one of the fluffy beds from my bedroom. Things are smelling better already. Unfortunately she has started shedding, she is always shedding to some degree but I think we're at the start of the Great Seasonal Shed. Good job I refurbished Hetty.

I've cleaned the coops and used the horrible farm strength disinfectant. I have to have it on hand in case of bird flu etc but I try not to use it. I figured as we've had two chicken deaths this year maybe I should get it out for extra peace of mind (although both were seen by vets and thought to be related to them being rescues from egg factories). I hate the thought of it running into the ground. Sorry to all the critters in the soil that may have been harmed. Extra unwanted attention on me at the moment though so I am trying to make sure I do everything I should to keep the chooks clean and healthy.

I am now going to finish some bits of overdue work off…booooooooo! needs must though. It's been on my mind for months.

Great idea @AnotherNewDay, I'll start us a shiny new Autumn thread shortly, see you over there!

Hope you feel better soon @Brie, take antihistamine just in case hayfever isn't helping symptoms, mine has kicked off in the last couple of days

Super productive @Rhyddid2026, and it'll be a lovely feeling to have that work out of the way 🥂

I have started the monthly Big Clean. As you all know this tended to last most of the month in the flat so let's see how long it takes now we're in a house 😂
