I've just roped in my son in law to spend a day helping me dismantle the shed once I have emptied it. To be honest, if I leant heavily on it, it would probably just fall down on its own! It's 14x10 of firewood (great for the woodburner this winter!!)
I have decided to phone the company tomorrow morning, and ask them if I placed the order in the sale period could I have installation at the end of September …… that would give me time to clear the site. It'd be doable. Eeek!

I spoke to the shed company this morning and they said they are taking bookings for installation from mid October onwards so that takes the pressure off a bit. They’ll honour the sale price too. I spent two hours in the garden this morning sorting things in the shed and dividing stuff into different boxes for plastics (broken plant pots etc) and metal (old metal staging that had gone rusty, tools beyond salvage), have loaded them into the car along with another one tonne bag of nettles, hedge clippings and brambles and have booked a slot at the tip for later today as I will be heading right past it anyway this afternoon.
I feel like I’ve had a successful morning!

I've ordered a new hose for Hetty as she's struggling. She's been part of my life for 11 years and she's put in more graft than any human partner or housemate I've had in the house. She deserves some TLC. I'd be heartbroken if she gave up on me.

I have made myself and the house vaguely acceptable despite dreadful period pains and I am proud of bothering as I was frankly fine with laying in bed unwashed and surrounded by mess for days

I was so tired after going out in London Friday and Wednesday to the concerts. I was standing up for the second concert too so I think that made me tired. I had almost 12 hours sleep last night. I kept waking up cold as still have the summer duvet on the bed, but I was too tired to get up and put on warmer clothes.
I bought some more dresses from my holiday to Ibiza from a charity shop yesterday. I have far too much as I have about 7 "new" dresses now and I'm only going for 4 days! I will have to cut them down before I pack. I also ordered a summer read from Amazon. The Weekend by T M Logan. I still need to buy some swimming costumes but I have a few weeks yet.
I'm going out again in London Monday and Tuesday so I'm just going to relax this weekend.

was pouring the coffee grounds on the flower beds this morning and discovered that a tomato plant has popped up out of no where!! No flowers on it yet but maybe I'll get lucky!! Meanwhile I've had to buy some from Lidl as those on my plants were all starting to split and I'd only get about 1/3 that was usable.

I kind of finished painting the garden wall that I started months ago. I can't do behind the trellis as the clematis is still covering it, so that will have to wait til a rare dry day in autumn.
I've attached the new hose etc to Hetty. The collar thingy on the top of the hose isn't quite sealing tight, so the suckage is not quite as strong as the old one, but given that the old one would suck off skirting boards and plaster maybe that's not such a bad thing. I've washed my sofa seat cushion covers and put them back on, and I've used one of the Hetty attachments for the first time ever! Such a grown up!
I've done my gas meter reading and I've increased my water standing order from £30 to £40. Sad times but it's been a very dry summer and I'm down to one water butt instead of two for the garden. To counteract that the gas and electric DD is down from £150 to £130.
I think I might give myself a much overdue mini pamper this evening.
