I can't remember where I got to with my reporting. I think I'd said I finally arranged my contact lens check up for Monday, and blood test for Wednesday.

I've arranged for the waste removal guy to collect 6 bags of rubbish on Tuesday. I've arranged for an odd job man to come measure up on Tuesday morning.

I've researched local cleaning companies to find one I trust and who has been around for years. So if I decide to go ahead with a deep clean that's half the battle done. I need to email them about options and prices though.

Yourall doing so well! I confess I have been neglecting my OATs but am back on the case with another couple of things tonight.

Scythed the two patches of grass to the side and behind the house. Much needed as grass was above my waste (and there were some nettles taller than me 😬😂)

Emailed electricity company giving permission to cut willow that's to near a pole.

Activated the bank card for the organisation in now treasurer for.

Unpacked bags after weekend away - not really an OAT as we only came back yesterday but could very easily have turned into one 😂

As much as I would have loved a lazy morning for my day off, I've loved even more that 6 bags of rubbish have been collected. £18 - bargain in my eyes.

Now lying on the bed planning what to do with the next 4 hours of leave.

@Cheery_Daff I'm another one who has been battling nettles taller than me! The garden got rather neglected in the last few months of my husband's life, and after he passed away last year I didn't have the mental strength to do very much apart from keeping the lawns mown.

I've got to grips with it now though, and I have just booked a slot at the tip for lunchtime today (you can't just randomly turn up there any more). Yesterday I filled a one-tonne builders bag with nettles, brambles and thistles all pulled up and dug out by their roots to dump today - this is the tenth bag I have filled this month, and I am really proud of how well I am doing. The garden is looking much, much better now. My back is aching though!

Thanks gang. I think it will come as no surprise that today I have been doing a lot of packing.

And people came round to view the chairs and footrest I emailed about the other day (after two years of meaning to) so will hopefully get an acceptable quote from them very soon, though I have no idea what acceptable is, I suppose it costs what it costs if we want it done!
