I've got an online sketching event (birds in flight) courtesy of Cornell Lab of Ornithology this evening!! Not sure I'll be able to watch it all live as it starts at 7pm and I don't know how long it goes for. I've checked their FB page and there are other tutorials on there that are just 5 minutes long so possibly that's all this one will be too. Should be interesting especially as I have just 2 days to put together something on garden birds for my art group monthly homework!

I have been meaning to wash the car for the past fortnight, but it has been too hot for such exertions. A year or so ago I bought a DeWalt cordless pressure washer (runs on a rechargeable battery and a bucket of water - it’s fantastic) by promising myself I would no longer pay for car washes thereby recouping the cost in no time. I have been so tempted to have someone else wash the car in this heat but have stuck to my agreement, and today I gave the car a much needed hot soapy wash, rinse and polish.

I was very tired and had to have a sit down with a cup of tea afterwards, but I’m so pleased it is another niggling job crossed off my list now. Until next time 🤣

We have finally listed the tent for sale on bay of e yesterday. I guess the peak tent buying season is the school holidays, right? It will be lovely if it sells,

I also listed a couple of pairs of jeans from Little Sis. If they sell they might pay for the shorts I bought her in a much smaller size.

Lots of other jobs tackled Saturday and Sunday. Tired now!

I've booked my contact lense check up. They threatened to stop sending me lenses if I didn't go by the end of the month.

Hahaha it's not a full size washing machine it's a portable one. It had those plastic straps around it so I carried it with those. Slightly less exciting and no aisles were blocked, it fit on the luggage rack 😀

I called Argos to ask if they'd accept return of oven that doesn't fit so we could buy one that's more expensive that does fit from them.

They said no but at least I did the dreaded call.

I have opened the spray mount (delivered yesterday) and stuck the felt to the shelves of the sitting room cupboard. Filled the drawer with all the cake baking/decorating and chocolate making stuff I'm not using but want to use in future when I have a working kitchen, and started moving big bits of china (cake stands etc) out of the kitchen and into the sitting room.

It may be months before the builders actually do anything more, but I'd like to make sure there are no delays on my side for them to use as an excuse.

what did they say was the reason for not accepting it? don't you have 14 days to return things ordered online?? (assuming that's how you bought it)
