• New blinds are up and bathroom blind moved down (not by me, but I organised it).
• Dog kibble put on regular delivery
• Fiddly trim and doors taken off units in utility room. I may take the units themselves down myself… or leave it to whichever of the builders/handyman gets here first.
• Handyman given list of other things to do
• Electricians making progress including putting up 'vintage' light fitting in new downstairs-loo-to-be
• Conversation with ex-colleague about career options - he'll put some feelers out about freelance/part time work
• Details of training courses sent by friend, which I think I'll book.
• Some laundry done
• Cleaner has been and house feels fresher and better as a result

Didn't do Pilates this morning, but did get some watering done and a friend came over for coffee and a wander round the garden.

Need to do dog kongs tonight as we're down to the last one (so may need to cook another BNS).

I think electricians are due back tomorrow.

Dog says it's time to go and sit outside with him!

I'm an evening person and being able to put the washing machine on after work (coz I have to be present when it's on) and hang it out overnight is completely changing my life! What shall I wear today? Ooo let's see what's clean fresh n dry on the washing line!

I've also finally got my air con re-gassed.

wondering how I can declutter the surgical strip that was superglued to my finger by the A&E nurse after I sliced it several weeks back. I don't want to just try to tug it off as I suspect that would undo any healing that has happened. every other day or so I snip off any bit of the strip off but there's still a pea sized bit stuck to me, precisely where I wounded myself. The nurse, as I remember it, said it would simply drop off but I didn't think that would mean almost more than 2 months on!!

@Brie That sounds very annoying! Have you tried soaking it in hot water to maybe soften the glue a bit?

I've soaked it (aka as doing the washing up), gone swimming in the ocean, spent an hour or 2 in a swimming pool both when on holiday.

It's rock solid.

The only thing that happens is that the plaster I put over it falls off. I have a plaster on it to prevent me catching the hard surgical strips on something and having another trauma!!! (oh woe is me!!!)

I might soak a pad of cotton wool in coconut oil or baby oil, wrap that around the steristrip and lightly bandage it. Oil can work as a solvent for superglue but might need to be on there for a day or two to work. Good luck!

If its been that long go to nurse at GP practice or local pharmacist @brie, they'll be able to properly assess. It sounded a nasty wound so it may just be that your skin is taking the appropriate time to heal, annoying as it is!

I have been very slowly packing here and there. Difficult with day to day to-do lists, and family friends are staying this weekend so didn't want to crowd the living room with too many boxes as they wouldn't have their own space to chill. Just need to do what I can when I can and accept a mad panic a few days before we move

I moved a jumper that had been hanging on the door and annoying me for about 3 weeks.

Finished putting together my electric tricycle, did a test run and then took it instead of the bus.

It's finally not too hot and not too wet to paint more of my garden wall! Exciting times ahead. Might have a shandy while I do it.
