Ownership does not come into it, it is registered keeper that counts. Presumably the N1SDT form is addressed to the registered keeper at the time of the parking contravention and that is who must defend the claim.

    (Removed by Forum Team)

Dad has received this on 22 June

I have tried to create a government gateway for my dad to then submit the defence via MCOL however I am struggling to get past the creating the ID bit as it will not take the picture of his driving licence!

You can't take this long with a court claim. We were telling you how to do this in May and it's now too late to defend. Due to not doing what we advised, your Dad now has a CCJ.

I'll see if we can help him resolve this more cheaply than what it says there so don't compound your error by rushing to pay the ludicrous £343 sum.

    But I see you said:

"My dad is not bothered about his credit history being spoilt".

Like me then, your Dad is comfortably retired, doesn't need credit and isn't bothered by a CCJ? Ignore it if so.

@R_King1 You've missed a name in the opening salutation of that image. You should delete that image and upload a correctly redacted one.

I am not sure he or I have the energy to put something together especially as I struggled with the initial easy steps 🤪

I thought we had missed the window and they are now sending bailiff letters. Do we just continue to ignore or resort to your contact?

You did miss the defence window and that was silly, but I'll see if help is available to turn this around without an application.

What was the date of the CCJ?

    I've sent you a pm.

    🙂

The original date of when the CCJ was issued was 26 May 2026.
