Like me then, your Dad is comfortably retired, doesn't need credit and isn't bothered by a CCJ? Ignore it if so.
If the above (posted by @Coupon-mad) is true, then yes, he continues to ignore; but reading through the thread, I see @Coupon-mad has sent you a PM, which is usually a way of getting out of the CCJ without it costing a lot of money. Did you read and react to C-m's PM?

Yes I did. We decided we were going to continue and ignore as my dad does not have the energy to go through solicitors etc
