Chase increases cashback to 2%

To add another query, presumably the 1% cashback is not still available to those who meet the old criteria (i.e. £1.5k paid in and not 15 payments per month)? The emails and T&Cs announce this as a "new" cashback scheme but not explicit that the old regime ceases to operate, unless I've missed it (or Chase assume it is implicitly obvious!).

As it's not mentioned it's probably gone. My plan is as follows:
- End of May put £1500 to Chase, then £1000 to savings so it stays there through entire June and return £500.
- Use Chase card as usual, and at the end of the month check how many transactions I did and then do remaining Revolut top ups.
- Use Chase card from July at takeaways/resturants that don't accept giftcards.
- In September review performance keeping in mind £1.9 lost interests and if close to 1% then close Chase account.

From a chat with a live human at Chase: The old scheme is discontinued and is replaced by the new one. So it won't be a two-tier percentage depending on which conditions you meet

Cool, thanks for checking. This feels like Chase has finally run out of usefulness for me - can't get the top savings rate, not sure the new cashback regime is worth the hoops, and done all referrals available… time to look at other reward cards like Amex!

or like us weekly shop includes enough milk to last us the week 😉

Why would I do that when I can buy it fresh and not have 6 day old milk in?

Unless you're buying it from the farm where the cow has just produced it, then it's not fresh milk; it's already several days old. Shop bought milk should easily have a use-by date of a week away, and as long as you keep it in the fridge, it tastes exactly the same up to that date. If you buy Cravendale, or a Supermarket equivalent, it will last for weeks, with no deterioration in taste.

We don't have enough spare room in our fridge door for a week's worth of milk. Buy 4 or 6 pints during a weekly shop and a top-up a couple of times during the week.

That's not what I'm on about. I'm on about the fact when Chase claim in their marketing that the £1k is across their savings accounts, you have to dig in the T&Cs that it's not all their savings accounts
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -
Seems to have been updated on their website 2%
Hold on to your savings
And keep a total balance of £1,000 or more across your Chase saver accounts all month (excluding round-up accounts).
