Chase increases cashback to 2%

Worth bouncing this to the top in case there're more people than just @Newbie_John and me wanting to get the 2% Chase cashback from day dot.
Believe you need £1k in a full-fat Chase saver from 01 June, held for the duration of the month, to earn cashback from 01 July, and so on.

does this sum it up?
from today ensure a minimum of £1000 stays in a savings account every day of June.
make 15 transactions on your CC/DC, doesn't have to be cashback qualifying transactions. NO cashback paid.
July, repeat process and any qualifying purchases recieve 2% cashback?

Also, given that I don't make 15 card payments per month of the type that qualify for cashback, that would mean losing out on cashback on another card.
For me, the only use Chase has now is for foreign cash withdrawals. Virgin Money also gives me the Mastercard rate and pays some interest on the balance.

Yep, that's what I'm doing. Just trying to flag up the need to get £1k into a savings account TODAY.
Believe that the old cashback regime (1%) still in force during June (if you did the £1.5k pay-in in May).

15 transactions is just way too many for me. Typically have like 5-6 in a month.

It's more than I'd do as well, but I'll give it a go. I usually self scan in a shop, so I'll do half of it, pay, move the stuff, and then do the rest.

If this is an absolute limit on how many transactions you CAN make in a month then clearly this offer is of no use/interest to you.
There are ways to increase your transaction count without additional (or with minimal) cost, but they all take extra effort/time.

Like paying your own Revolut multiple times? I could do that but don't want Chase to close my account after some time, lol. I think they wouldn't like it…

For those for whom the new Chase scheme is too complex/not worth it, you may be interested to know that Sum-Up have a free debit card which pays 2% cashback on supermarket spend. It also pays 5% at some small businesses and 0.5% on all other transactions - capped at £10/month.

There is also a referral scheme, but it is against the MSE rules for me to post a link here.

Yep, that kind of thing (or the infamous single carrots).
TBH, if Chase is your main or only current account then best not - I'm happy to risk it if transaction count not sufficient towards month-end.
