Chase increases cashback to 2%

Maybe its just me but really struggling to understand how people CAN'T make 15 card transactions in a month.
Weekly shop? Thats 4 or 5 straight off the bat.
Ran out of milk? Happens often here. Thats 4 or 5 down the local Co-Op
So thats 8 or 10 a month without much thought. How are people struggling to do 15 in a month?

Presumably they can't be definitive since it's feasible that Costa's MCC might change from (say)
5812 - Eating Places and Restaurants (probably Chase cashback)
to
5976 - Orthopedic Goods–Artificial Limb Stores (no cashback) or a less-ridiculous example
and it's not under Chase's control.

The 15 transactions is easy, but that you effectively have to tie £1k up in perpetuity (which currently can get about 4.7% on a 5 year fix). Most larger transactions i use a stooze CC, and tend to just use chase for small top up shops at Aldi.
Its just a pity that the likes of home bargains & B&M dont qualify, but now that greggs probably will is an advantage.
May give it a few months & see if its worth it, but ideally will be on the lookout for a better cashback offer.

Well one reason why I might struggle is that my supermarket shops tend to be paid for with gift cards, bought using my Lloyds Ultra CC, gives me 3-5% cashback on the giftcard and 1% on the CC.
Do I forego the 1% cashback on the Lloyds card just to increment my transaction count on the Chase CC?
Probably not an issue, gift card balance is usually short of total shop cost so will make Chase payment to settle.
And hope that slipping a couple of extra 1-off banana transactions at the end doesn't trigger shoplifter lockdown.

Same here, supermarkets, takeaway with giftcards. I do spend £200 on public transport petrol so that's £4 instead of £2 but with lower interests £2 lost.. so comes back to 1% with a hassle of making sure I do 15 transactions - which probably be like 7-8 random Revolut top ups at the end of the month. The occasional restaurants may improve it a bit though but let's see, will give it a go for few months and then of it's too tiring may close it down.

Unless you buy expensive bananas, you are unlikely to meet the 50p minimum spend for an eligible transaction per the offer terms and conditions.

The offer terms and conditions state that balance of Round Up account is excluded from that £1k savings requirement. So the £1k is in addition to Round Ups, so won't diminish.

Good point (I had missed the min spend) - I'll switch to Waitrose and buy kumquats.

I think many will miss the minimum spend requirement as it only seems to appear in the actual terms and conditions and not in the promotional bumf floating around.
Same with Round Up balances not included in the minimum £1000 holding in savings requirement.

I can only speak for myself, but I'm quite a low spender. Most bills are paid by DD (typically cheaper than paying by card) and the majority of my card spending goes onto a cashback credit card. I only really do a big shop once a week or two with no real card spending outside of that. I pretty much always have to manufacture debit card spending to meet these types of offers, especially if I'm juggling more than one offer at the same time.
