Hi BexTech - that explains why the reviews are so varied. Some review as excellent/good and others say really poor.. The only thing that worries me is that if the above ones are ex-display or refurbs are some of these likely to be the ones that others have sent back due to problems..
Is there another brand which would be a better investment? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
With BT having such a wide range of phones to suit all tastes and wallets it pays to know which are the best... as with most things you do get what you pay for. The best range is probably the Diverse range, with the Synergy range coming in close behind.
However, Panasonic are my favourite brand, very reliable and do exactly what they promise with little fuss and are always solidly built.
Siemens are another really good brand to look at, especially if you like more features.
I bought my last set of Panasonic phones from pmctelecom.co.uk No problems whatsoever. I got the KX-TG8423 with a free headset. Bargain.0 -
Arghhh, it wouldn't let me post the link because I'm new.

Hi Summer,
Sorry it took so long to reply.
Just looking at those two, it looks like those KXTG1311EH are an Argos exclusive, they look pretty nice, but the specs aren't as good as the KX-TG7302.
The 7302 has a handsfree speakerphone and 100 name and number directory, whereas the 1311 doesn't seem to have speakerphone and only has 50 name & number directory... I'm not sure what the actual difference in build quality is between the two, but I know that on more expensive phones the actual plastics and manufacturing are often of a better quality.
I hope this helps?
Cheers

Oh, also it doesn't say whether the 1311's are GAP compatible, which means that, in future, if you want to add another additional handset (from any manufacturer so long as it's GAP compatible) you'd be able to do that. I'm not sure if you can with the 1311's, but you can definitely from the 7302's. It's very handy if one handset goes faulty in a couple of years time and you need a nice replacement.
The 7302 are also repeater compatible which means that you can extend the range of your phones to work over a longer range with an optional repeater.
Arghh, I keep spotting more differences... I'm such a phone nerd!
Panasonics are good all around, I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed with either, but it's worth knowing the differences eh?0 -
Hello Basil the Fox! Thanks for your tips - I really appreciate it.. Just by chance I just purchased earlier this week the Philips ID937 Duo Digital phone with answering machine which look nice, however...
...the only thing that I am not sure about is it has great reviews here :-

http://www.home-phones.co.uk/home-phones/philips-dect-cordless-phones/philips-id9371-dect-designer-phone/
... and poor reviews here at Amazon :-
