How to pay a small cheque in to Nationwide
Comments

I've paid a few cheques in using camera with Halifax or Lloyds apps
One was reversed the next day as presumably it didn't scan well. My mother goes into town once a week and took it in for me a couple of days later. £1.34. Another was £3.00. Bit ambitious hoping for free prepaid envelopes nowadays.

A formal complaint because they wouldn't do something they don't offer? What a waste of our money as account holders
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

You're making an official complaint because they won't send you a pre-paid envelope to send them a cheque for £7.35? 🤷 Surely you must have better things to be doing with your time?

All this time he could have opened another bank account...

Tried Facebook and got the same response - I threatened to close my accounts (containing over £20k) - no effect !
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -
When they close your accounts they will send you a cheque…….

Yes, as well as having a back-up account, OP could have the cheque scanned by now and the funds in their account which they could then transfer over to their Nationwide account. Instead they choose to waste multiple people's time by opening a frivolous complaint over not getting a pre-paid envelope. It's beyond silly.

They'll just use the same tired excuse that they're a Building Society and this means that their banking facilities can remain sub-par

There are two freepost addresses available via the Nationwide website which would probably work:
Freepost SCE 7125, Swindon, SN38 9LY or FREEPOST NATIONWIDE BUSINESS SAVINGS TEAM.
