Good morning everyone. I've had a long sleep in today and not been up very long. OH brought me a cuppa while I was in my pit and the kids and OH sat and watched me open my pressies & cards.:j
Thank you all so much for all the birthday wishes you have sent. They are very much appreciated and I am touched by your thoughtfulness.
Happy Birthday to Miss Jockettuk's DD
Having a reasonably quiet day today, still in the throes of decorating and stuff & OH has to work later. Kids are just taking trimmings down-we always tend to leave them up until twelfth night.
(((hugs))) to all who need or would like one. Hope all who are ill get well soon and all who are well stay well.
Last night I make some banana cake (to use up over ripe bananas)) not made any before so I think I might go sample a piece.:EasterBun:EasterBun (hopefully)
Going to go make another cup of tea now. Catch you all later.

    Morning everyone

Hugs to all those needing them, hope you all get better soon.

Well I am shattered I am not sleeping at the moment, I was downstairs watching TV till 3am wide awake, eventually went to bed, and was still awake at 5.30am I knew I should have got up, but didn't wanna disturb anyone. Woke this morning at 10.30am so am shattered. Have done nothing so far today, except sit here nursing a cuppa T. I better get my bottom into gear, as I have a mountain of stuff to do.

BM will be going on in a mo, still got some left from yesterday thank goodness.
Roast beef for tea (was half price last week)
Will go for a long walk along the sea later, try and tire myself out, so I can break this sleep cycle I have got into.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning everyone!!
Happy Birthday Tattycath hope you have a lovely day.

I finally feel human again now that i`ve sat here for over 2 hours catching up lol. The kitchen is like a bomb site as we were cooking when we got home from the pub last night, i needed some paracetamol this morning and i still need more sleep as it was around three thirty when i fell asleep

I`ve done the wm and dw so soon i`ll get around to cleaning the kitchen.
Need to nip out later to buy a new flying ring for one of the dogs as last night we walked them after getting in and the ring went miles and into someones garden the dog then decided that it was a good idea to climb the privet hedge to try and get it back, i`ve not laughed so much in ages.

For dinner we`re havng spicy pork stir fry and potato wedges, we`ve had a few roast dinners lately so it will be a nice change, the rest of the decs are coming down today too and the bathroom needs a major blitz to that`ll keep me busy for most of the day.

Odds-n-Sods hope you`re feeling better now
HariboJunkie your hoover story had me in tears and made my tummy ache with laughing lol.
Hope to catch you all later.

    Morning all!
Arghhhhhhhhhhh. Just had to let that out. My car is still bing a pain. OHs StepD has been round and had a look, think it's the earthing to the battery but we're having a mechanic friend come have a nose... looks like it's train and taxi to work tomorrow if I can't scrounge a lift.

The hospital will have to wait until I've got a car. There is no way I can walk there and I can only get xrays done between 2 and 4 on a weekday.... very frustrating! So I'll have more of a wait to see what's going on with my hands, and whether it's arthritis or something else.

I wanted to order myself a new tankini so I can start my water therapy, but it all depends on how much it'll cost to get the car fixed :( I just want to sit and cry all day, but I'm back to work tomorrow and have to tally up the mock marks and make some jellies, defrost soup and make muffins for the next week at work. Oh and a banana loaf. Plus my dailies!

I shall first of all take a net-break though and take some time for myself.

    Have a good day all.
Happy birthday to tattycath and Jockets DD.
    Hugs to those who need/want.

    Morning all.
Weather's lovely, blue skies and sunshine, daffs poking through......can't be long till spring can it ?

Had one of those mornings............woke up early, dozed back off so woke up and it felt like the ceiling had landed on my head...........now my nose is dribbling...........yuk ! Blame OH ...........he's been sneezing for Britain !!
Did manage to sort out all my card making stuff so the christmassy bits are all put away till they're needed............still need to sift through the surplus and send them off to Mums care home .......they can always use them to cut costs down for the residents.
OH is hoovering this afternoon after thetraditional pub pint or several............lol

So now I'll trawl through the board then sort out lunch. Won;t be much. My taste buds aren't working............lol

Hugs for all those who don't feel well ..................get better soon:o

    Hi All
It's lovely & peaceful here, the lodgers gone out for a couple of hours, so no singing or shouting going on.
I've vacuumed through, next I'm moving stuff from the study to the spare room, so at least all the clutter is in one place. I just can't wait for it all to go.
Roast gammon for tea, it was half price in the local butchers.
    Have a good day.
    Hugs Hester

Good to catch up wht this again at a more reasonable time. the toddy worked a dream and i slept from 7 until 11. Yippee I feel more normal now. Thinking of those who aren't at this stage yet.
Am going to go through my freezer and make a menu list for the week. I want to get back into batch cooking and freezing portions but I have some unlabelled freezer bags of 'stuff'. I am very thrifty and we WILL eat them - they will just be a surprise until they thaw out tongue.gif
  • Hi everyone:hello:

Lovely and sunny here today..Just thought I would put a quick post up as I have to be at work for 1 only in for 2 hours so not too bad :j

I had a really bad day yesterday, No housework was done at all I just couldnt seem to get my bum into gear, Went to bed last night feeling really annoyed with myself :o

DH got up at 6 today to go off metal detecting  so I got up with him and really got stuck in with the housework, The kitchen was totally gutted and cleaned, 2 loads of washing done, beds changed, Bathroom cleaned, living room totally cleaned out and funiture all moved around, Dinner prepared for when I get home from work and hoovered through out the house..Plus I have had to contend with a 2yr old who got up out of the wrong side of the bed this morning  DH just got back and he couldnt believe his eyes

I must make a move, Hope everyone is ok and having a good day
