Morning everyone,
A peaceful morning on the cards for me -OH is taking sons to their Warhammer club (wargames with little soldiers  ) Actually the whole thing has kept them busy over Christmas -you have build the soldiers and then paint them and they have both done a really good job on them. They've also made a board with scenery to play on. In fact it has completely distracted ds1 from the computer.
Dd is going with OH to spend her Christmas money while the boys are blowing each other up. So, I'll be here all morning gassing:D
I'll be making some beany soup for lunch and maybe some muffins for lunchboxes next week. Supper is going to be chicken slices in a cheese and bacon sauce -I have some gruyere and bacon to use up. I think I'll make a chocolate fudge pudding, but it might be too rich after the chicken, so I might make a fruit salad out of tins:D
OH is back at work tomorrow -must remember to make his lunch. Kids are back on Tuesday-hurray :j0 -
Morning all. Nice bright frosty morning here today, looks lovely out but brrr...
Happy Birthday to TattyCath and Miss JockettUK, have a lovely day. :bdaycake:
Hugs to all those who are still ill, I hope you feel better soon. I'm glad PP is feeling better and it's lovely to see Queenie back too
Not much planned for today, I'm going to make some muffins for lunchboxes I think, and check the bread situation, will probably need to pop some dough into the Panny. The ironing's all done, hooray! and the tree and decs came down yesterday so the downstairs is all hoovered and clean, a minor miracle round here . Got up this morning to find that OH had forgotten to switch on the DW last night so I was scrabbling about looking for a coffee mug to get my early morning fix:rotfl: that's what happens when you give a man a bottle of Christmas whisky I suppose.....
Hugs to all, have a lovely day.

Morning all,
Happy Birthday to Jockettuk’s dd and Tattycath.
Hugs for those feeling poorly or a bit down.
Odds, I hope the pain passes soon.
I was up surprisingly early today…it’s a lovely cold but bright morning here, the sort that makes you feel alive so I’ve got lots done. Fire cleaned out, living room dusted and vacuumed, a wash on and cooked breakfast made for all the stragglers as they staggered out of their bedrooms.
Today we’ll be taking down the tree and getting back into work/school mode so lots to do sorting out schoolbags and uniforms.
I’m making roast lamb for tea…it’s a fairly big one so hopefully there will be some leftovers for tomorrow.
I hope you all have a great day.

I'm glad my neighbour works in a chemist, never had to worry over opening times!
Well I finally hit the sales yesterday :j Still a reasonable amount to wade kthru' but eerily the shops were quiet :T and I managed to do more shop than battle :rotfl: Till I woke up this morning I was all for a 2nd assault
Well I took the decs down yesterday [STRIKE]and thru them in a box[/STRIKE] packed carefully away and into the loft till [STRIKE]next[/STRIKE]this year. So an O/S bliiming good clean is needed  no takers? Oh well I'll challenge myself and treat the winner to an all expences paid holiday in 2 and a half weeks time
(ha! bet you wished you'd stepped up now)

Good morning everyone
Happy Birthday to Tattycath and Miss Jockett. Hope you have a lovely day.
odds what an ordeal for you! Glad you are home and feeling better.
Queenie it's always nice to see you posting on the OS daily.
twink It's awful that families have such a long wait for a funeral over Christmas and New Year. I can't understand why that should be - surely it only makes things even more difficult? I hope all goes well on Tuesday. ((hugs)) to you and yours.
((((hugs)))) to all those who are still suffering with the dreaded lurgy or other health matters.
I am on the slow road to recovery. My nose and ears are blocked and I have no sense of taste or smell. I have a dreadful chesty cough but other than that I feel much, much better than I did 5 days ago.
DS's room is finished (at last! :j ) and looks very grown up. All that needs to be done now is to get the new (bargain) carpet down that I bought yesterday. Then the big clear up can begin.
Plumduff like you I'm intending to do a massive declutter and sell as much as I can at carboots and the like (for some reason ebay frightens me - maybe its some of the horror stories I've heard of accounts being hijacked and the like
). We are drowning in stuff that isn't used/needed/wanted so I may as well try to make some money from it.
Breakfast is cooking now and then we are off to mass. DS wants to go bargain hunting in town after that so I will drop him off and DD and I will come back and finish the art project she needs to hand in tomorrow.
No idea what's for dinner. Something from the freezer I imagine. Have a great day. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning All
Birthday wishes to TattyCath and Miss JockettUK.
(((hugs))) to all the poorlies, hope the toe is soon improving Odds.
Had a good night last night watching the arrival of the three kings by sea and the parade through the streets. There were floats full of sweets to throw to the children (large and small) watching the parade. This is their Christmas when the children get the good presents, brought by the Kings.
Undecided as to what we will do today, still sat around having coffee and nattering. Will probably go for a walk.
Take care. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning all................(((((((HUGS)))))))))) if you need them.........
Another bright morning, but very cold, we have everything white from frost, even the yellow lines on the road are white..........
Not much planned for today, feeling a little delicate, roast chicken for supper. Decided not to go to the lottie, I have enough veg in the house for tonight. Tomorrow will take care of itself.
Had the forms come yesterday to apply for the higher amount of AA as OH gets up to the loo in the night, I have to get up as well incase he passes out. He is more likely to do it then as his BP is low anyway. First thing when he gets up he has to sit on the edge of the bed for about 5 minutes to allow his BP to stabilise. Watch this space.........I am not counting on it!!!!!!!!
Right off to put the bread maker on and make the bed.........................
By the way, forgot to say great to see you posting again Queenie, hope evrything is ok with you its ages since we heard any news of you.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
