    Morning All

Happy Birthday to Tatthcath & Jockettuk DD :bdaycake:

    Odds-n-sods - wishing you a speedy recovery

Had a slow start this morning but thats ok, it is Sunday. Got a call from travel agent yesterday, tickets are in and I can pick them up Tuesday :j so am getting really excited now.

Today will be washing and ironing again, no ironing at the moment but as it dries I will be ironing it (seriously hope this keeps up).

Roast pork with all the trimmings for lunch, is a rather large peice so will be freezing the leftovers with gravy & should be enough for a least 2 meals.

Off now for a lovely surf - have a great day.

    Hello All,

Happy Birthday to TattyCath and Jockett's DD - Have a great day!

Odds, I'm glad that you are now back home, I am sorry to hear how sick you were from the medication.
Penny Pincher, glad to read that you are feeling brighter today.
Hugs to all those who are still feeling ill.

I've just got up, I definitely am a person who needs 8 hours of sleep a night to feel that I can function during the day, so from tonight I have to be in bed by 10pm, so if you see me on this board you have my permission to kick me off!

Not much planned today, my usual daily tasks of washing, and probably after that I will sit down and watch the football on TV, or perhaps listen to it on the radio while surfing here (multi-tasking :D ).

Yesterday I made a sausage casserole for the very first time from a recipe on this board, and we really liked it :T , I am so enjoying being back on the OS board.

Time for me to go and get some breakfast and have my first coffee of the day.

    Have a good Sunday everyone.

    Good morning everyone,

We had a lovely day visiting DH rellies and the HM relish etc went down a treat. :p We stuffed ourselves so think we'll give tea a miss. I have defrosted lettuce soup :D but still not hungry. Plans for tomorrow are to have a good clean up now the ground is drying up a bit.

Tattycath & Miss Jockettuk Happy Birthday. Hope you have a lovely day.
PP Is DH still a bit sore going by your new avatar. ;)
Queenie Where have you been? We all thought you'd run off with the milkman. Well that's what the others thought. :D I never believed it for a minute.
Odds Hope the pain doesn't linger around.
kunekune Maybe if you post your concerns in the finance board somebody might come up with a few solutions. It's never to early to plan.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY TATTYCATH AND JOCKETTS DD!

Good morning everyone and hugs to all that feel under the weather!

DH still has man flu and I have a translation to do, visitors coming round and look after DD. Arghh. Multi - tasking!

I am so pleased - bought NEXT curtains yesterday in a charity shop for £4.99 - they are brand new - still had the tags on, plus found a lovely party dress from Monsoon for DD for 1.25 - that's the wedding outfit sorted for her for DH's cousin's wedding. Don't you just love a bargain.

WM has just finished, so will hang that in a moment and then DD goes down for morning nap!

Better crack on - good day everyone!

    Morning all :)

Hugs to everyone whoi is feeling unwell.

I have the BM on, 1st load of 3 is in the washing machine and dogs are walked. I decided to get rid of some of the excess Christmas stuff still hanging around yesterday, so had the kids sit down and get to cracking all the nuts that were left (kept 'em quiet for a bit ;)). Made a date and walnut cake yesterday, which is now in the freezer as we are still eating our way through all the tins of biccies we were given!. Today I will make a coffee and walnut cake and a pecan and toffee, both for the freezer, and hopefully also get an extra loaf of bread made up so we have one sliced ready in the freezer - so that when I have forgotten to put the BM on (which is often), we won't have to go up the road to buy a stupidly overpriced loaf (£1.30!).

I saw some gorse flowering down by the shore when I drove past yesterday, so I'm hoping to get down there later with the kids to pick some flowers to get some wine started up tomorrow.

    Have a good day, everyone.
  • Morning all, no real plans today except get ready for the kids going back to school tomorrow. At the moment trying to keep them a little quieter so that dh can have a much needed lie in.
Looking forward to doing some baking later from my new book purchased yesterday with my xmas vouchers. Got to rummage around in the freezer for a few meals over the next few days as it is packed and i need to run it down a little which is a good thing due to the fact that the car repairs will leave us a little tight this month so the food budget has had to be tightened a little. Ah well, could be worse. Hugs to all who need them. Have a lovely sunday one and all.
Tattycath & Miss Jockettuk Happy Birthday.
Hugs odds n sods get well soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TATTYCATH AND JOCKETTUK:bdaycake: :bdaycake:

KUNEKUNE hope you get your finances sorted soon, have no idea how you can get around it unless you have friends or relatives who can help you out.

ODDS I did read your post, hope you feel less sore today

Loved the party gorls especially the can-can when I saw it this morning. It really made me laugh.

Thanks for all the suggestions about butter making, will be on the lookout for reduced cream tomorrow when I go shopping.

Have woken up with backache again, I'm sure it's our bed. Really don't want to have to buy a new mattress at the mo but might have to.

Lovely sunny day here. 2 loads of washing are on the line. OH in bed as on nights. Am off to local wildlife park today, we have membership so taking a picnic and DS can take some of his pocket money to spend. Have found some packet mix felafels lurking in cupboard so shall have them with different salads and rice for tea.

Off to cook bacon and egg :D have a good day all

    :A xxxxx
  • Good morning all,

I had such a great day decluttering yesterday that I'm going to stay in and finish the job today. It certainly is very money saving staying at home clearing clutter rather than going shopping and collecting more !!!

Weather is a lot brighter and drier today so wm is already on. Lunch today will be something with cheese - I seem to have tons left from xmas. Dinner will be turkey casserole (again using xmas turkey from freezer and some cheap red wine I have left). I don't think I will have to do a proper food shopping in January as I have so much left from xmas!

Tonight I am going to the cinema to see "PS I love you". I have read the book but can't imagine Hilary Swank in the title role.

    Have a great Sunday everyone.

    Happy birthday Tattycath :bdaycake:

Thanks Jannyannie - no relatives. They used to be half a world a way when we were in NZ, but still a 4 hour drive and getting old/ill anyway. Friends are not really any use - we don't meet people as we are very antisocial and anyone I know is from work! I'll be ok about it all in a day or so again - it's a pmt thing, I always worry about things and tend to get them a bit out of proportion.

    Morning all,

Must start by sending HUGS to those that need them and happy wishes to birthday celebrations.

Excited because it's sunny and frosty here - my favourite combination. :j After a 3 month absence if I can get everything else done I may actually drag myself to the allotment today to see what work needs to be done.

It's my last day before getting back to work so got lots planned for today. OH is doing some work for his dad (extra cash for holiday fund!) so hopefully with some peace and quiet I can be productive.

I discovered the extra income board yesterday so have planned to start daily clicks and slicethepie to bring some extra pennies in. Busy busy but after looking at prices to New Zealand for next Xmas I may be on here quite a lot!

Anyway off to it! (honest!) Have a good day all. x
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...
