Does anyone have a clue what the status of this tracking means?

Date Depot Action Reason 02/01/2008 07:30:58 Wembley Depot Loaded onto vehicle
    02/01/2008 14:08:06 Wembley Depot Received
02/01/2008 14:08:56 Wembley Depot Unable to Deliver Carded

No attempted delivery was made, no card was left.
They were expensive goods as well

From the jist of that I recon it means they tried to deliver but there saying nobody answered so they left a card.

I checked on mine again today and although amazon said it was ready for dispatch last wed they finally go of there !!!!!! and collected it today.

I ain't holding my breath for getting it for tomorrow though!

well im guessing(as i dont know HDN's system)
the item was allocated for delivery today
however for whatever reason wasnt delivered
then when it was scanned later that is the reason code used
    i would expect a re-attempt

coincidently have had the dubious pleasure of them missing a delivery despite two calls from me to them requesting confirmation of delivery and their 'assurances' in brum...

I have had almost nothing but bad experiences with this compnay. They have "attempted delivery - carded" on various occasions but funnily enough I have never received a card. When I query this with the office you are made to feel that you are lying. Last time, the driver alledgedly broke down (first phone call) and then 20 minutes later when they rang back (which was a first) the driver ran out of time and wasn't coming to my area that day. They won't give you a delivery window, the drivers will not ring you even though the office promises you they will and they hold on to parcels for days. I even got a parcel delivered about 3 weeks after they are supposed to have picked it up!!

hold your holrses.plenty of customers are grateful for items being doorstepped etc
this is part of the problem and ive posted on this before.i get people complaining when drivers do/do not doorstep depending on how it suits the customer.

Royal Mail should not be doorstepping full stop, I know lots of Delivery Officers do it to be helpful but it is anything but when you have to take the customer complaint because its been nicked, trust me on that one. If a customer complains you simply explain that its more than your job is worth!!

I can tell you exactly what has happened. There are 2 reasons. (a) the parcel was loaded onto a van on that day but due to using Agency staff who do not use scanners then the depot will just recieve the parcel back off the van and then give a reason as to why it was returned to the depot. (b) the parcel was loaded onto a van that day but an employed driver who uses a scanner has not put a reason why it has not been attempted when out on the road and then obviously the depot has recieved the parcel off again and then give a reason as to why it was not attempted.

To me it looks like no attempt was made by agency staff and therefore no reason was given. In the middle of the tracking after "Wembley depot loaded onto vehicle" there should be something that states what has happened such as "carded at XX:XX on XXXXX" or "unable to locate at XX:XX on XXXXX" etc etc

Not sure how the depots down London are going at the moment but if you send me the UPI / tracking number then I will see what is happening.

had a 150 quid marks and spencer order from CHRISTMAS day fully dispatched. All items in it sent to my girlfriends address, so i can take advantage of her 24 hour reception.

24 hour reception = a reception that is open 24 hours.

A reception that can deal with anyone

    Any hour of the day

    Anytime you want

Just come on over and someone will deal with you.

HDN made two "attempts" on New Years Eve at 3PM and 7PM. 2 Attempts in 4 hours.

    No card left.

Goods were sent back to M&S. Phoned M&S and they said they cant resend sale items.

I was offered 25 pounds. I told them HDN is the most unprofessional courier company I've ever come across and that they should read this thread.

The question is...... would HDN employees want their parcels delivered by HDN. Doubt it.
