I love my HDN delivery man he's always on time and cheerful and found my flat which a lot of other companies failed to do I think I amuse him with how much I order!

  • From what a few people have mentioned they have a regular delivery person, so perhaps thats the problem the person delivering to some areas are good and some aren't. The one in my area refuses to knock on the door, he just comes and posts the "you were not at home" card through the door, plenty a time I have had to chase him down the street and ask him how he magically knew I wasn't in!

    GRAB IT ANY :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:ONE

yeah, there is a load of threads left on Grabbit that are totally inappropriate and in the incorrect place nowadays and it seems there is no board guide or moderator even bothering to move them for days and days, if at all

I can remember when Grabbit was the tidiest and absolute best board on here with incorrect threads being moved (by the erstwhile redfox) within minutes usually. It was a really useful board then but not so now as you have to wade through loads of irrelevant threads. The mess that grabbit has become has caused me to rarely visit MSE at all nowadays, there are far better moderated forums out there that aren't such a headache to read.

So you can flame me all you want for this post and my opinion because I probably won't be around to see it :rotfl:

The grabbit forums is a joke these days we get all manner of stupid inappropriate posts

First its "I know this is the wrong board, but I need a quick reply" then there's "Whats the best time to do my shopping"

Can we please get a board guide on grabbit. I am fed up of reporting such posts.

Sticky: Posting On The Grab It Board

This board is for short-term, grab it deals only. Anything else, including general supermarket offers (bogof, half price or 3for2 etc) should be placed on the Shop But Dont Drop board.

I work for a company that used to use HDN as a courier.

We no longer use HDN as a courier.

I'm sure people can gather from that what they wish :)
  • Agreed Poppycat. Can we nominate you please?

Unfortunately I have had quite a few things delivered with HDN over the last few weeks. So far I've only had one good experience!
First 2 items never turned up so got a refund from Amazon.
3 Items have been left outside in full view of road.
2 items left outside and got ruined when they got wet.
1 item left with an unknown neighbour and no card put through the door, luckily neighbour (10 doors away) was honest enough to bring it round!
I have never had anything delivered on the correct day, hence never being in for the deliveries. There seems to be a pattern with them delivering, if they say it will be delivered on Monday you can almost guarantee it will be delivered on Wednesday!
I feel more confident when dispatch emails say it is being delivered by Royal Mail than HDN and that is saying something!!!

we have some, unfortunately they aren't as efficient or committed as the one we used to have.

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as a lot of people here.

I ordered a tomtom from amazon and had a email of them on Wednesday to say it had been dispatched.

Thur comes and nothing has arrived so I check the site and it says delivery expected on Fri.

Fair enough I thought until Fri comes and goes with no delivery.

So I check the tracking details and all it says is for wed carrier notified to pick up package.

    Really am not impressed.

They are an absolute nightmare, just be careful if you are not home when they try to deliver as they will leave it outside so you'll have to hope for good weather!!
On a plus side though, if it is damaged or doesn't turn up Amazon are good at refunding payments. I think they must have the non signed for contract with HDN and if this is the case Amazon must be resondsible non delivery etc...
