That really is as clear as Mud!! I am surprised they've not emailed a notice out to all, or put something up onsite to explain 'whats occuring' as it must be a pain having to respond to everyone individually- I do hope its (cashback) gonna come soon though- I can't help worrying that it won't as ever more banks claim huge losses!!0

The message I got is in conflict to the one above, it said that the cashback would be applied in March.
They didn't actually answer my question, just skirted around it without giving a definiative answer. Bloody uesless.
EDIT - They were however rather quick to let me know that the interest on my ISA has dropped 4% since I opened it...0 -
Well my reply is here:The cash back is removed from the Egg Money Card in March and the re applied in the month of April, as long as it is over £10.00.
Please reply if there's anything else I can help with.
Thanks for your message.

Not the clearest of explanations but it looks like it is going to be applied in April.
Woah, woah, woah, hold on a minute! I thought it was minimum £5?0 -
Is it possible to harvest the cashback if the account is not in credit? By harvesting, I do not mean lifting the cashback as cash, but tranferring it to an egg savings account?0
-
No, the cashback is paid back to the egg money card as a credit.0

The thing is, Egg have made such a ham-fist of Egg Money in recent months it wouldn't surprise me if they delay and delay paying it out. A bit of a cheek really when you consider they're bloody quick off the mark in shunting up interest rates on their cards, apparently mothballing Egg Money, and now have decided that they need three or four days to respond to secure messages when previously it was around 24 hours. So much for trying to retain customers...
Here here! They're a bunch of jokers these days. They're holding onto the cashback payment for as long as possible; clearly for financial gain on their part.
I wouldn't be too worried about the cashback being paid though, they'd be lining themselves up for yet another fine from the FSA if they mess us around on this.0 -

When your cashback is credited, it will just make your overall balance less -ve, giving you less to pay off/more to spend but I don't think you'll be able to transfer out to ES if the account is actually in -ve balance still.0 -

Don't worry, I can see what you're gettig at even if others can't!
If you have a +ve or zero balance then logically it will just increase the balance. If you wished to then move it to Egg savings you could do so with no charge provided the transaction didn't put you into a negative balance.
That said with 4% gross on Egg Money, you'd probably get a better rate leaving it there! :rotfl:
Nick£5850 in the rainy day fund - target £9000£575 in OH 40th BDay Account - target £5000 by April 2013 :eek:0 -
