Updated for 2010!

Just a reminder for Egg Money cardholders: the cashback earnings shown on your February statement is paid in to your account in March, provided that you have accrued at least £5 in cashback.

If you have less than £5 in cashback, you will lose it as it's not carried forward to the following year. The maximum cashback payable is £200 per year.

If you use your Egg Money card as a back up and have less than £5 cashback at the moment, now's the time to use your card to push your total spend for the year over £500, so that your cashback earnings will be at least £5 and you won't lose out!

See Conditions 11.1 & 11.2 in the T&C's for Egg Money cashback rules!

It's also worth remembering the instant cashback offers that Egg offer. At the moment these include 5% at lastminute.com and 10% at 7digital.com, 0800flowers and figleaves...

You can have both the Egg Card and Egg Money card... if you have the Egg Card then there's nothing stopping you from applying for the Egg Money card aswell (it may even help you get accepted as you already have a 'relationship' with them).

Also, the £5 limit applies to the Egg Money card cash back on purchases. The cash back you get from shell and waterstones is completely different as its applied to your card the same day.

Any cash back earned through their offers, ie shell and waterstones, has no minimum or maximum limit.

As an example. £100 spend at a shell garage.

Pay with Egg Card: 2% cash back applied same day, so you'll see -£2 on your statement the same day as the payment to shell.

Pay with Egg Money: 2% cash back applied same day, so you'll see -£2 on your statement the same day. 1% cash back earned on the remaining £98 = 98p cash back. It's this 98p which goes towards the min £5 max £200 rule.
  • 2 days ago I lost my Egg Money card, cancelled and ordered a replacement, which came today.

    The accompanying inserts said:
"As a thank you for taking out our credit card, we'd like to reward you with a corking offer - a £25 Virgin Wines voucher." To get your mitts on it, just:
    - go to www.virginwines.com/eggcard
    -enter code: EGGCARD
    -enter password: CHAMPAGNE

As mentioned, I merely replaced my existing card, but it works. Minimum spend is £49-99/12 75cl bottles, plus £5-99 p+p.

    I got 12 bottles for £31 incl.of P&P!

So, anyone fancy some cheap wine, just report your Egg Money card lost/stolen! Wonder if above would work with peoples existing cards anyway.....

i only got my egg card a little while ago :( have a couple of quid cashback seems very mean if im going to loose it already
apparently i so far have had £4.33 so need to spend £67 before the 8th, will just have to get my travelcard early or something, hm
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D
  • Already a Virgin Wines customer and said I couldn't use it. Oh, your link should read www.virginwines.com/eggcard
Signature on holiday for two weeks
  • Update to above, as the Egg Card offer didn't mention anything about not applicable to existing Virgin Wine customers, I rang Virgin with the offer details and after a few minutes had £25 credited to my account. They didn't ask for an Egg Card number nor ask me to pay with the Egg card for my order.

Is the Shell cashback offer still on?

I can't see it on their website anymore?
