The Top Regular Savers Discussion Thread

As long as people stick to discussing regular savers on here then they're free to discuss whatever they wish in this thread, I have no issues with people discussing any regular saver(s) they wish on this thread. People are also free to share their experiences of regular savers more generally here and I have made this view clear on a number of occasions across this and the previous version of it.
If people start discussing things that have nothing to do with regular savers at length in this thread then I take a different view and consider it a breach of forum rules (which I do not set in my defence) to take this thread too far off topic.
If you have any concerns with the way in which I run the threads I maintain then you are more than welcome to message me directly to express your concerns, whilst I can't guarantee I'll implement every suggestion (due to it being physically impossible to do so), rest assured I do take all viewpoints into consideration.

I couldn't care less tbh; it's a public forum just surprised how much coverage it gets. As long as people don't get upset when someone makes a separate thread for a question so that they don't have to wade through hundreds of unrelated posts to find an answer, had it been posted in this one.

I think the attraction of multiples is both having one of the best savings rate around of 7.5% but also being able to have £400 (or even £600) each month earning 7.50%
And also the simplicity of having all with one building society instead of £200 in regular savers with 2 or 3 different BSs, 3 sets of log ins and usernames etc - even if you could find 3 BSs with regular savers at 7.50%
As for this potential loyalty rule its all very much speculation until next week and it can be confirmed but we live in hope.
We do though need another new bank or building society to launch a new regular saver to distract us from the endless Principality discussions :)

No multiple direct openings, it seems only on account maturity until PBS decide to change their mind. At the end of the day, it really depends on how many 3 year+ loyal customers they've already hacked off by offering maturity accounts that were subsequently rejected.

Is there a way of paying into Principality RS 5 today and have it count as my Feb payment?
I know they say it should show within 2 hours, but is that true on a Saturday or will they not deal with it until Monday?

Open the account now, you should get an email with your account details and be able to fund straight away. If you send funds now it'll be classed as a February deposit.

Not saying anything re multiple Princess accounts but will say its the first time I felt I had to fill in their "How easy was it to do what you needed to do today" question survey with glowing comment. Very happy account or should I say accounts holder here. 😀😁

I must say I am very happy with the guidance being provided by Bridlington. If he thinks something is off topic or repetitious he will say so and we should accept that, but I am pleased that he errs on the side of free discussion.
Personally there are banks/building societies and issues that I am not interested in so I understand the frustration of wading through tens of comments, but it helps if people leave a little heading 🤗

Also if a separate thread exists I reckon it's okay to point people in the direction of that thread - it doesn't mean "you're not welcome in this thread", it's just alerting people to information that they might have otherwise missed

I don't know why Brid specified 'Top' ones in the thread title but as he has, maybe we should ban discussion of the lowly ones instead 😀
