Thanks for that, have amended the SO to £25.
Will see what happens. As we know, what institutions say they are their terms, and what they actually enforce, are not always what they say.

Cheers, chase regular saver opened and funded. My boost had expired and I really liked chase, instant payments via the app. I see it's 300pm so wonder if I can fund again tomorrow

Nope, 30th october you can fund again. goes exactly by opening date. I am going to open mine tomorrow so funding with everything else falls on the 1st of the month.

Suffolk building society RS maturity question.
I gave instructions online on the 17th this month to close my RS account and transfer the funds to my nominated account.
I still haven't received anything, and going online, the account has now disappeared. Is this normal for Suffolk this is my first dealings with them?
Have another account with them with a minimal amount.

If it matures today, it’s at midnight tonight, so nothing will happen until tomorrow. It’s normal for it to have disappeared today.

Yes. Matches my previous experience with Suffolk RS accounts. Maturity funds appeared in my nominated account 00:12 on the day after maturity.

The funds should appear tomorrow in your nominated account.

I only mentioned as the discussion about specific non-RS accounts got a tad excessive recently, thus I wanted to nip it in the bud this time round, that comment wasn't aimed at you specifically though.
There's also the NatWest/RBS DRSs at 5.25%, though in my experience these can't be opened in a day that easily.
The bulk of the open to all RSs greater than 5% but less than 6% do seem to be branch/post opening at the minute though, although some will have opened many of them online as the likes of Manchester & Newcastle were online opening until relatively recently.
As predicted, Virgin Money Regular Saver Exclusive Issue 7 at 6.5% now NLA

Just a word of caution for anybody wanting to close a Nationwide RS a day or two early to enable themselves to get an extra £200 in at the end of the month on a new Regular Saver .eg initial deposit on new RS 30th September, 2nd deposit 1st October.
Nationwide block any attempt to open another RS until a day after your last RS was due to expire.
So someone closing an existing one that expires on the last day of the month a day or two early hoping to open a new one on the last day of will not be able to, they will have to wait until the 1st of the next month.1 -
Good idea tp wait until tomorrow, it also saves you from headaches with the 30th of February 😂
