Hanley - I am wondering now if they will launch a new online regular saver before October 21st - or will Hanley just be content with everyone removing £3699 from the easy access and just leaving £1 for posterity….

CHASE - new saver
Can anyone confirm which tax year the interest will count towards? It’s paid monthly, but you can’t access it until maturity, right? So 2027/28?

Hanley has not been consistent with launching regular savers. I think this depends on what they currently need. It worth noting that you don’t necessarily need to keep £1 in the account. I closed mine at previous maturity and when they launched the new one it was very quick and easy to open it, they retained my details so the process was the same as for an existing customer.

Ah, ok. My mistake. Thanks for clarifying.
So the monthly interest will count towards the tax year it is paid in then.

Chase interest
My spreadsheet comes up with slightly different figures to yours - £32.95 in this tax year, and £91.82 next year. This is based on opening today and fully funding with £300 on the 28th of each month, no withdrawals. I haven't fully checked the figures so would be interested to know if anyone else's estimates match up with mine!

Beg your pardon, you're correct. I miscounted 7 months in this year. I'll delete my post.

Chase Regular Saver
Funnily enough this RS came as I was soon about to close my current account with Chase! They obviously know how to tempt me back, with a 6.5% fixed rate RS… 😄

How quickly does it take to open a Chase current account and then hopefully the regular saver?
And am l correct in that there is no hard search for the application?
