NatWest/RBS/Ulster and Buckinghamshire BS payment issues / fraud checks
Nothing has changed. Opened the new 6.4% issue 2 as a new customer and the first payment (set up yesterday for today) was blocked. Released following call via 159 to fraud department, but they could/would give no confirmation that the standing order (also set up yesterday) would be honoured rather than blocked. Anyone here have experience from issue 1 of SOs following an initial block?

That's right

Zopa
Renewal worked for me as well. Mine was initialy maturing 26th November so now running until 16th March 27. Interest was added, new reg saver open instantly and also funded instantly. Rest of funds withdrawn and moved to feeder account. Also received an email confirmation.
Since Zopa goes strictly by opening date, there is no reason to delay the opening. Sure, you could wait until the last day on 21st September to squeeze another 5 days out but not worth it I think. Should something go wrong now, you at least have a few days buffer to contact support.

I used to have Progressive BS Regular Rainy Day i3 but I closed it on maturity in July 2026. When I tried to login into my ac to apply for its new regular saver, I got this message
"Progressive Building Society’s online service is currently unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. If you need to contact us during this time, please call our online support team on 0800 0294 997, lines open Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm."
Does anyone know whether this is a true maintenance issue, so it is is expected to be live again in just a few hours or it is an attempt to restrict people to apply its new RS ? If it is a temporary issue I would prefer to just wait rather then calling them to apply.

NatWest/RBS/Ulster and Buckinghamshire payment issues/fraud checks.
My payments from NatWest to Bucks were blocked by the fraud squad on four successive months. I raised a complaint, but they naturally found no issues with their process which was "designed to protect customers". They ignored the crux of the problem, namely that for some iunknown reason (to us), they have deemed Buckingham BS as high risk.

when I got this message, I left that page open, then opened another browser tab and typed in the Progressive URL. That got me straight into my Progressive account.
If this doesn’t work for you, it’s probably best calling them1 -
Thanks. Perhaps l should cancel the SO from NatWest and set one up from Santander instead.

Zopa RS Refresh
Obviously everyone has a slightly different scenario, but I don’t understand the logic of refreshing a 12 month RS, even with only 1 or 2 months to go. Mine runs until 31/10 and I have a balance of £3,381.88 at present. That’s c66p a day interest (more when the last £300 is paid in at the end of this month). So my current RS will earn at least another £29.70 interest if it runs to term. If I open their 6 month RS, it will earn c£35. I appreciate refreshing unlocks the money now etc, but are people refreshing their current 12 month savers or am I missing something and people are refreshing their current 6 month ones?

Refreshing 6 month reg saver.

I just tried it using two browsers Firefox, Chrome, it did not work out for me unfortunately. It didn't bring me straight into my account, instead I would still need to click 'login' button and the same message appear. I think I will wait until tomorrow and when it is still the same message appear, I will call them to possibly apply over the phone if they allow it.
