Update: authentication code came through today, letter dated 14 Sep (yesterday) so this for once wasn’t a delay on Royal Mail’s part 😆
Logged onto app successfully. The £200 I paid in on 9 Sep isn’t showing. Phoned Tipton and they confirmed the money is there and it will show once the app is fully authenticated. Payment will be back-dated so I won’t lose interest.

Progressive…
Complete opposite for me - COP not matching first thing this morning (opened early yesterday), deposited by debit card instead and it was showing in my account immediately.
I might just stick to debit card deposits in future, as Natwest won't let me have multiple Progressive payees.

Progressive MS
I ended up with "Account Number Pending" after completing my application yesterday.
Online, the only option showing was to "Cancel Application".
I called them today and they gave it a kick and the option "Continue Application" appeared.
The next step gave me the account number and allowed me to fund the account.

They do say in their t & c the following. Have highlighted the nitty gritty part.
The first payment to the account must be made by electronic transfer from a bank account held in your name or by debit card.
• Subsequent monthly payments must be made by electronic transfer. If you set up a
monthly payment of less than the maximum of £200 per month, you may make
additional lodgements to the account before the end of that month to make up the
maximum monthly limit of £200. These can be made by debit card or electronic
transfer.And then
Lodgements must reach your account by 25th of the month.
So you can set up a bank transfer of any amount and if it's under the £200 monthly limit you can use debit card for the remaining if you so wish. Whether they will enforce the 25th for DC payments will remain to be seen.

Bucks RS
Had the email to confirm that my Bucks RS is now open, along with the account details.
It says that the first deposit has to be made within 30 days, and the account maturity is 12 months from the first deposit. This is handy for me, as I can delay my deposit until October, as I already have more than enough RS's maturing in September next year.

When logging in to check my account, I realised that the nominated account against my Rainy Day Issue 4 had disappeared and re-entered the same account details as I had originally given for it (NatWest.) These were accepted despite my giving my Nationwide account for the new Online Monthly Saver. So if you have a second account you can use that to nominate for a second Progressive RS, thereby avoiding the need to log in monthly and (presumably) wait longer before card payments start earning interest.
This is in contrast to Tipton and Manchester where the nominated account is the nominated account for all accounts held.

With The Bucks, where in earth do I find my userid! I have the email confirming opening and set up a password on application but can't see a userid anywhere !

It is supposed to be sent by email, but they have IT issues that are preventing them fron being sent. They gave me mine over the phone.

You should have an email from them with subject line “Registration Successful” along with the activation code for your online account there’s your user id.
