Thanks.
read the full t&c on the Coventry website. It also has
(e) The purpose of each prize draw is to encourage a small amount of saving each month. If we believe you've not saved in this spirit, we may disqualify you from winning the Additional Prize Draw and/or any of the Monthly Prize Draws.
So, whilst you can have unlimited withdrawals, anyone depositing and then withdrawing every month just for the draw might get excluded from it.
Going to chuck somewhere between £10 and £50 in each month, as it's easy access and 5% just thinking it as an extension to my EA savers.

First Direct
Mine’s due to mature tomorrow. It’s dropped off the app today. Does that mean I’m ok to apply now for a new one?
I have the low rate savings account already from previous matured RS

Yes, you can go ahead with the application for the new First Direct RS today. Usually it means it will start the day after the previous one matures, but as it's the weekend, it will probably start on Monday.

Interesting that this is a different account type to the prior issues (£300 pm, Issue 4 having started at 7%, now 6.75%.) So may allow existing holders of those accounts after the previous complaints of no closure and only one Rainy Day Saver.

Coventry BS Sunny Day Saver (3)If paying just a tenner in, you won't get much interest even if the rate was above 6%.
For most RS I don't look at anything below 6%, but then again it's a small amount and easy access so if I did need it, easy to get.

Thanks, was down to one account with the Progressive. Will bookmark.
I suppose it still allows them to be up the table and allow more to participate (assuming they pull once it's got to a certain funding level)

Save & Grow Regular Saver to 31.10.27 (Mobile App Account) was pulled after an incredibly short run due to an overwhelming volume of mobile app applications.
The society was forced to abruptly withdraw the mobile app version of the product to prevent its systems and customer service teams from being entirely overwhelmed.
The account—launched on September 8, 2026, offering a highly competitive 6.50% Gross / 6.31% AER interest rate—experienced a massive influx of demand from savers within the first 48 hours.
Existing Applications: The society is working through the backlog and will notify applicants about their status within 10 days.
Branch version is still available to open in all five branches of the society.

Progressive RS
If they cared about treating their customers fairly they would have raised the rate on existing accounts since it was variable. Looking forward to Monday launch as I’m curious what the terms will be this time.

Did anyone who applied for the branch account by email (rather than by post) not receive any response to their email - even a rejection?
My email would have been sent on the 8th..
