I opened the new RS on the app early on Tuesday. Got the account number at the end of the opening process (which I noted down at the time but that's the only "record" I have that the account exists). COP not yet working on those details (Santander current account), so I haven't sent any money. Account not showing on the Tipton app. No email from Tipton confirming account details and that account open. I'm not willing to send any money at the moment. I'm taking a wait and see approach. Being cautious. Particularly as we have to trust the app (no online portal) This looks like it could be an overwhelmed small Society which has got into a mess and could take a while to sort out. Not worth risking money being lost in the system (IMHO)

Edited to add: who remembers the TSB debacle in 2017? Sorry, 2018

    Tipton app version

£200 deposit appeared in the app today and dated yesterday.

    All great.

Postal application sent Monday so wouldn't expect much on that yet.

Re: Tipton - if it helps, as a new user, I opened late Monday night and have received the text confirming that the account has been opened, and having just tried creating a new payee, it is now passing CoP (Santander/Cahoot) - though i'm going to withhold sending any payment until I can use the app (awaiting the letter).

Tbh, the Zopa RS was great when it was 12 months, but once it went to 6 months I wasn't bothered, so I wasn't going to bother anymore when the 12 months RS matures anyway.

I applied Monday 10pm. New user of their app. Phone code arrived within minutes. Kept a screenshot with account number etc. 9.46 Tuesday got text to say their systems were down. Lunchtime Tuesday sent funds from nominated account, no COP. At almost exact same time got a text to say account has been successfully opened, not sure if this was connected to funding account. Letter this morning, Wednesday, with ID code. Entered it in app and account is there with funds.
Printed savings account application form from website Tuesday, completed, signed and sent second class mail with cheque payable to myself.
I know others have had trouble but so far a painless way to save £400 per month at 6.5%, above my current average let alone lowest funding threshold.

    Tipton.

I opened the Tipton RS on Monday evening as a new customer.
i transferred the £200 yesterday morning, even though there was no COP match.

I received my unique ID in the post today which allowed me to progress with the app. My £200 shows in the RS dated yesterday.

Anyone had any luck changing their nominated account with Tipton? Messaged them in the app explaining why the change was necessary and providing new details, no response over 24 hours later (be it to confirm or ask for a statement.)

In hindsight I should have just played payee switcheroo at NatWest to get the first payment in before requesting the change but if I do that now and they have updated my details as requested and just not messaged (they must be snowed under right now) it would get rejected and £200 end up in limbo. Is there anywhere to view the current details that I've missed?
