It's 4pm on working days, according to the 'faster payments cut-off times' list:
Not sure about the interest, but the payment I sent yesterday was showing today (not yesterday) with yesterday's date.0 -
Tipton Save and Grow Saver (6.5%)
On their page, they say:
"You can open a savings account at any of our branches without an appointment or, through the post by sending us a completed application form with a cheque payable to yourself for your initial deposit. Application forms can be posted to you on request, collected in branch, or printed from our website. To view our acceptable identification, please click here."
What do I do if I don't have a chequebook?…do you think if I just sent a completed application form and then funded the account upon confirmation via email/post, that I can fund it after then through a bank transfer?

I posted the Tipton Save and Grow application without a cheque today, so in a few days [I am guessing] I will know if they let me fund with a bank transfer ...

I applied in the app as a new customer and got the "we need to confirm your identity and address" screen. Haven't phoned them yet as I assume they're rather busy (and I won't have the money to fund it for a few days anyway, when my huge Monmouthshire RS matures).
Anyone else who couldn't be electronically confirmed, have you managed to open it? And did they contact you, or vice versa?

Tipton Branch/Postal. You can apply by email. It is fine to fund by bank transfer. Withdrawal is by cash or cheque (or internal transfer but not to an app account as different systems) though.

Someone got refused to apply by email back in this thread for Tipton, so I posted the application

Thanks! Which email did you use to apply through? I can’t seem to find “a savings” email…

I used info@thetipton.co.uk. I called a while later and they were able to confirm that my email had arrived and, I think they said it'd been forwarded to head office where it will wait to be actioned.
