I closed the 12 month pot - IIRC you click the 3 dots top right to do that. This instantly transfers you balance plus remaining interest into your main savings pot.
Then add another savings account - select the 6 month RS. I was a bit sceptical whether I would have that option but I did, and I suspect you will, too.If you have an existing autosave for the 12%er, delete it, and set up a new one for the new account

Still no sign of my new Tipton account I opened last night. Just some texts about maintenance. Looks we overwhelmed them.

I received a text saying my account was now open, but still not showing in the app. My 125th Anniversary RS appeared in app at zero balance but per their advice relayed in a post here, that would be on a different system. I can’t fund the new RS until they approve my nominated account change, so I’ll be waiting a while if it doesn’t show until it’s funded.

Strangely I think the app version said no electronic payments as well which was odd, my previous app based RS paid directly into my nominated account when I secure messaged them to ask for it.
For accounts where a passbook was issued (presumably this will, being branch/paper based application) I can’t see them processing withdrawals/closures without it.

Tipton App RS
An email asks me to verify my nominated bank account by either sending a paper copy of a recent statement to their Head Office or sending a PDF statement generated from my banking app by email.
Not overly happy with sending statements via open email but without getting into a discussion about password protection or secure emails I'm not seeing a choice.
If I'd known about the requirement in advance then my nominated account would have had far less traffic…..
I wonder if this means that the £5 I sent this AM from this account is going to bounce…..

Will they not accept a scan of a cancelled cheque? (assuming you have a chequebook of course)

Those poor smaller building societies. They try to offer a nice enticing interest rate, and they either 1) get buried by an influx of applications, 2) have a bunch of forum nerds nit-picking every detail of their T&Cs (I'm thinking Beverley), or 3) have Natwest assume they're money launderers (Bucks).
I hope their staff haven't been overwhelmed.

I do have a chequebook for that account, the option was not given.
I could ask the question, much like I could ask to password-protect my PDF statement, but I reckon any interruption to their suddenly increased workload might risk my application getting shoved to the bottom of the pile (or rather, since they have computers, re-classified within the workflow system).

Coventry.
Tried applying online, kept timing out, so downloaded the app and it opened the account fine.
For the draw is it deposit in the previous calendar month or month before the draw date.
Gonna set up a SO and maybe then remove the app. Too many apps.
