I got the same message. Applied at 11:30 last night, manually entered the address, have been living at the same address for many years, solid nominated bank, no issues.

Phoned Tipton Bank just now they said they had received an overwhelming number of applications over night. They are slowly getting through the load and will get in touch by email about identification and address proof. Because this is a mobile app application, verification will be carried out electronically.

I am wondering about the possibility of downloading the branch application form and then sending it to them via email - I know that this method has worked for some folks applying for the last Tipton 125th saver.

But can you have both the app and the branch version?

I applied for the app version last night and funded this morning - I already had the app. Didnt pass COP and not showing yet but I imagine by the end of the week they will catch up so no worries.

Also noticed that it is actually a 13 month saver which will confuse some of us next year - me included.

    Coventry sunny days

Only 5% but as I just now only have a £1 Coventry easy access I might open anyway to keep continuity.

I've checked the rate used in the projection, and confirmed that it is 6.50% gross. I have a spreadsheet template that I've set up to calculate the expected interest for regular savers.

Based on the gross rate of 6.50%, deposits of £200 on 08/09/2026, then 1st of each month for 13 months, the first interest credited to the account on 31/10/2026, and the final interest paid on 31/10/2027, my spreadsheet calculates the total interest will be £113.49. Added to the £2,800 deposited, equals £2,913.49. That matches exactly the projection.

However, as I understand it, for Tipton any deposits on non-working days are treated as having been received the next working day. The calculation above does not take that in to account. When the days that deposits are credited are adjusted to exclude non-working days, the revised interest will be £113.20.

So I too am confused by the AER lower than gross. My understanding is that, when gross interest is paid annually, the AER and gross rate will be the same.

Opened and funded but not yet showing in the app

    Coventry

Opened and funded and payment showing - nice to see interest rate Increased from version 2 - 5% aligns with my easy access accounts and fingers crossed for a win in one of the draws

    ESBS

Apologies if this is old news, I checked the last couple of days. It’s saying ‘Paused’ for new applications due to high level of applications - looking at you @Bridlington1 !

ESBS - Online version went NLA ('paused') soon after launch. Branch version remains available.

Firstly they amended their t&c's to state you couldn't have both versions. Then they pulled the online version.

Can I ask how do I renew my 12 month into a 6 month. Mine matures on the 28th Sept. Thanks for any help.

I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.
