This quote is actually from 83 pages ago😲, but are you saying you had two Darlington 12 Month Savers running at the same time, because the terms for the current offering state you can only have one. It's this one, where the interest is compounded at the end of December yet the APR is the same as the gross rate. Have they made two blunders?

Unnecessary delays all round with HEBS it seems, payments in too. I think it was established on here that the quickest way is via Debit Card, which is unusual.

It was also established on here that the interest starts accruing from the day of deposit. I always deposit to HEBS by debit card. Since Halifax triple bribe ended, HEBS is the only RS I use this type of deposit for, other providers don't pay interest until DC transaction is complete (usually 2 working days).

I had two RS of different issue numbers. One can only have one of each issue.

The gross rate would equal the AER only if the account was opened in December. It would then mature on 31st December, the same day that the maturity interest was paid. If opened in any month other than December, interest would be paid on 31st December and maturity, thus Gross would not equal AER.

Regarding the new VM Regular Saver Exclusive, if you already have Regular Saver 5 then it will tell you this only after applying

VM really do like to waste your time.

Not Chatham no. In fact nowhere near. They closed the NatWest where I opened my account a few years ago, and now wherever I put my sort code, that address comes up. I live the opposite end of the country lol

Before you click on get started, to start the application on the Virgin website, they do inform you that you can only have one RS at a time.
