    Thanks @clairec666 and @jaypers
I think I opened Hanley at same time as another account elsewhere, so no chance of remembering application details now. I do have a copy of TAR10 on laptop, but it doesn't say anything there about interest being paid out or staying. It's not a problem anyway, am quite happy for it to be in RS account. I really should start adding such details when opening an account, although I do invariably opt for interest to be paid to the account itself if that option is available.

Virgin RS3 Closing the Everyday saver

If it's any interest, l successful closed the Everyday Saver, which my RS3 converted into on maturity. Filled in the form on the app (says for current account) on Sunday, 30th August. Closed just after 9am today.

I can't see why I would ever choose for interest to be paid away (unless it was for a very long-term fix which I don't really use anyway), best option is to have it paid back into the regular saver and keep earning a nice chunk of interest on my interest.

I can't recall any regular savers which force you to have your interest paid away to an external account, but if so I'd make a note on my spreadsheet.

Received email yesterday to say that both my £500 payments will be returned and that I must pay in £500 from my nominated a/c by 16th Sept.

£500 was returned yesterday and £500 returned this morning. Logged in ESBS at 9.30am and it still shows a balance of £1000.

I've now made a £500 payment to ESBS from my nominated account and I have asked them if I could deposit £1000 or £500 for this month.

    Edit:

Just received message to say I can only pay in £500 for September but my account will run for an extra month to allow the 12 payments.

Yes I must have, most likely because I didn't catch on to there being this sort of interim payment before the account matured.

Still nothing yet so just waiting.

Re: Saffron Members Month - not to go off-topic and apologies if already mentioned, but there are no loyalty regular savers announced, they have instead launched two 1-yr fixed-rate bonds - one for adults, another for children (17 or under).

On the application form the question asked was "Where would you like your interest paid" and I selected the option "This account being applied for".

yes I think I’m in this same boat, just not sure why it hasn’t landed in my nominated account yet which is causing the unnecessary concern.
