First Direct - issue now appears to be solved. Mine showed at 1.05% earlier in the day but is now back to 7%.

First Direct temporary displayed interest rate change
I don't have any screen shots of the change, but just wonder if, when some ones account has matured / is near maturity or in a few weeks, it may be worth raising a complaint/request regarding what interest rate has been applied for each day of the accounts term ?

After reading on here about the 1.05% display issue, and seeing that I’d also got the erroneous display, I dropped a query in in-app chat.
I was given what looked like a pre-prepared spiel - so they were already aware of it - to the effect that it was a display glitch and reassuring me that the 7% rate would be applied throughout the term.

I think it is very likely in this instance that the adverse data is being held within an internal system. Likely something related to past events and perhaps something a DSAR has failed to surface. LBG has a track record for this sort of thing. I am sure that @pecunianonolet will be on top of credit files already.

Indeed! In spirit at least. But when you have those accounts added to Yougov earning points towards a periodic cash reward, it pays to leave them turning over minimal activity to keep that revenue stream.

Just opened a Current account with Virgin, the regular saver after, no problem. I do not have problems with any other institution to open accounts at all.
I meant by mule card, that they gave me on the MBNA credit card repeatedly offers for money or balance transfer, either with a fee and zero interest or vice versa. I used this to draw cash at zero fee and later took a different card to balance transfer so I literally never paid any interest to them. At the end of my credit card terms I always repaid the amount in full and I never failed to repay what I owed on time. I had a ca 30k stoozing pot but all repaid. I currently owe Nationwide 50 as interest free overdraft, HSBC 500 as interest free (Premier), LBG 300 and Barclays (Premier) 10 that just appeared, never asked Barclays for an overdraft.
Credit files are all spot on with all 3 CRA so no issue here as otherwise other banks and building societies, drawing from the same data pool would flag things but they don't.
I am unsure if I want to fight the battle of taking it to a higher level. Causing LBG more trouble could just mean they debank me and call it a commercial decission and cite T&C's, which would require taking it further and to a lawyer, etc. Probably not worth the battle.
I keep enjoying my cinema tickets, bank the indirect rewards via yougov and let them be, while I can. Once those benefits cease and I become maybe elegible ever again for bank switches (unlikely) there is no shortage of burner current accounts.

I know you used the cards for stoozing - I still have half a dozen stoozing cards myself (though none associated with LBG). I just would never call them mule cards because of the extremely negative meaning.

I often wonder where the 'The Top Regular Savers Discussion Thread' disappears to.
This is just one more of them in my opinion.

I think we'll have to agree to differ on this one then, but I note your comments.
Whilst I'm at it I'm going to be doing a review of my forum activity in the coming weeks anyway, I shall not divulge the reasons or go into much detail off the back of your feedback, but it would include this thread and associated items I maintain, therefore if anyone has any feedback on any of my forum activities, now would be a good time to message me directly with them.

Monmouthshire RS Maturity
Just wanted to double check the process with Monmouthshire. My RS matures next Sunday (13th). Guessing I’m right that nothing will happen until Monday 14th? It’s the only account I have with them and my plan is to open a new RS, transfer £500 to the new one and withdraw the rest.
