First Direct - issue now appears to be solved. Mine showed at 1.05% earlier in the day but is now back to 7%.

First Direct temporary displayed interest rate change

I don't have any screen shots of the change, but just wonder if, when some ones account has matured / is near maturity or in a few weeks, it may be worth raising a complaint/request regarding what interest rate has been applied for each day of the accounts term ?

After reading on here about the 1.05% display issue, and seeing that I’d also got the erroneous display, I dropped a query in in-app chat.

I was given what looked like a pre-prepared spiel - so they were already aware of it - to the effect that it was a display glitch and reassuring me that the 7% rate would be applied throughout the term.

I would look beyond any specific finance organisation and undertake a search of the credit reference agencies to establish whether they hold any adverse data, and if this data is correct as this may be a source which they are using. You can obtain the statutory report for free - the link to it is usually buried somewhere at the bottom of their site far below the promoted/charged score reports.

I think it is very likely in this instance that the adverse data is being held within an internal system. Likely something related to past events and perhaps something a DSAR has failed to surface. LBG has a track record for this sort of thing. I am sure that @pecunianonolet will be on top of credit files already.
