Good to know hopefully it will launch soon if it becomes a reality.

Watch them do it at 1.70%…

Worked like a charm, thank you! The old account continued to show as "Regular Saver" until I had logged out and back in again.
Successfully opened all three 8% 'versions' now (Halifax, BoS and Lloyds).

? A new RS?

We can but hope, trying to manifest it. It would be poor if Darlington didn't offer one given they went to the effort of emailing everyone about their 170th anniversary (which most of us will have been completely unaware of.) Their last competitive product is just coming up to maturity so it would be nice to get a replacement.

Tipton 125 now can be opened by post for existing customers or who fall into the post code restriction.

Just found out about the LBG 8% regulars, I'm wondering what they playing at tbh.
Halifax is dying yet they've launched a new version, I also cannot apply for this because they are insistent on sending activation codes by post yet fail to send me the codes, I recently had to change phones and Halifax is the only brand I currently cannot login to. Think I'm going to have to have a difficult call with them.
Lloyds, is probably the most confusing, BOTH the standard monthly AND Club Lloyds seem to be exactly the same regular saver now where as before they were different rates & different deposit limits. Also I already have the other Club Lloyds at 6.25% & only just started with that the other month, pretty sure I can't just ditch that & get the new 8%.
Bank Of Scotland seems to be the only 8% I can currently go for as I didn't already have their 5.5% or whatever.

Always been the case though however the accounts used to be different not exactly the same AND you used to be able hold both.
I'm hoping the Club Lloyds Monthly account is some massive mess up, because someone decided to just do a copy and paste job & forgot to edit the deposit amount or something 😏

Can't find any reference to this on their website or Moneyfacts.

It's obvious to me it's exactly what they've done, same rate & slightly higher deposit limits per month, Santander have done £200 max limit for ages & despite them upping their rate I would have thought by now they would have upped their monthly deposit limits too.
