£500 paid monthly into a regular saver at 6.5% for 12 months results in interest of approx £211.25

The Ts&Cs of the Mansfield My Milestone RS don't explicitly state any penalty for missing payments but imply that you should make a deposit each month, so I've put ``No stated penalty for missing payments" as opposed to saying outright that you can or can't miss as many payments as you wish.

My Co-op regular saver matured today. It turned into a smart saver and had the interest added overnight. By breakfast time I had drained it and applied for a new regular saver.
They responded very quickly saying it had been approved, but there is no sign of it.
How long will it take to appear in the app, so I can fund it?

Was it " Thank you for your application" or "welcome to your Regular saver"? If the former, it will probably take about 3 working days until the account is opened.

Ok, thanks for replying.
I'll put something in monthly then just to be safe.

Mine matured last Thursday, applied for a new account immediately, appeared in the app on Saturday morning, with a text and email informing me that my account was now open.
No point funding it over the weekend as it will only start earning interest from the next working day. The maturity date is 1 year from the date of first deposit, so nothing to lose by opening it now and funding later in the month.

What are people's experiences closing Co-op regular savers? I don't think there is an option online but you have to call or pop into a branch? Do they close it and pay interest immediately?
Just considering whether it'll be worth the hassle before opening a new one once mine matures, as I will want the interest in the 25/26 tax year so will need to close it early

@ rallycurve - Personally, closing my CO-OP RS was a nighmare resulting in a 2 month closure delay because the system couldn't close the account fully. Although, I did receive £200 compensation, the stress of having to continually contact them followed by a rather lengthy complaint procedure and the wasted time spend doing so, far outweighed the compensation. I did however, eventually open a new RS with the Co-op, but would certainly never entertain early closure.
