My Monmouthshire app suddenly stopped working on my mobile - error message about my device not being registered. I phone CS and a very helpful agent explained that it was probably due to an update they had done and very quickly reset me. I had to delete, reinstall and re-register on the app but it's sorted.

I just checked the MonBS app after reading your post and it worked fine. Except after using my phone PIN it took me straight to the app without asking for me to select sms or email for code.

I keep getting scheduled maintenance for Monbs BS beginning in the early hours, which means I have to uninstall and reinstall the Monbs APP to thankfully gain access to my accounts - 3 times so far and no updated SO payments seen 🤔. I'm sure it will resolve itself but will have to make a phone call on Tuesday, if not 🤨. Glitches happen, but thank goodness, not that often 😀.

EDIT: Monmouthshire BS have sorted out the delayed SO crediting issue. All my accounts have now been credited late this morning 11.45am with the correct SO date - whoop! Saves precious time with not having to make any phone calls 😁😀.

Mine stopped working recently with error message ‘We’ve encountered tech issue requires you to reset PIN Click forgotten PIN on login screen’

Since then I’ve been going round in circles trying to reset PIN. Decided to delete & reinstall app. Latest error message ‘Your registartion (sic) has been blocked due to multiple wrong attempts’

I’ll phone next week

BOS RS Renewal

Renew or close options give errors and you are told to contact them. I did this with online chat which took over an hour but successfully closed the account. As it was a closure, then I would not expect to be able to open a new one until the 12 month anniversary of the closed one.

Renewing does not seem a possibility with BOS (unlike Lloyds and Halifax).

I've closed a BoS RS via app chat several times; which has taken minutes and re-opened a new RS within 24 hours. The 12 month anniversary as per the T&C's has never been enforced. The same for Lloyds & Halifax; although these can be renewed, but both of which I've also closed several times and re-opened without issue either immediately or within the 12 month anniversayy T&C's.

I don't know if this will work with BoS as I've never renewed my BoS RS early but have renewed multiple Lloyds and Halifax ones. I often get error messages when going in to renew but find if I go straight back in again it usually works.

That doesn't work with BoS. There's something systemic that causes it to fail for this specific account.
