Octopus 10M Fixed March 2026 v2
Not unexpected. Gas and electric up. Pretty big hike.
Still 10mth fix with £50 exit fees per fuel.

V2 aint that bad when you take off the April reduction, at least for electric, doubt if many, post winter, will bother with the gas rate. Cosy has gone back to 12 months but the cheap rate has gone up a load more than expected, even with some April adjustment, unless it goes down more than the std rate. If it is as bad as suspected it will be a bust for heat pumps and battery top-ups. Seems to have been some decoupling between gas and electric rates this time around.

Here are the rates for 10M Fixed March 2026 v2 in Southern region. I'm not tempted (I was wondering about a gas fix but 7.7p doesn't do it for me), but others might?

Crafty Octopus. A ten month fix really leaves you in the lurch in the depths of winter when it ends.

I suppose it may be of interest to some when Eon and OFM have both reportedly removed their new fixes for the moment.

we're on a fix until 28.08.26, South West electric only, current rate/from April, 22.30pKW & 50.76pStdChg. I've just checked & there's a 10 month fix available, 27.26pKW 53.76pSC, £50 exit fee.
As things stand, i'm considering taking the risk & going for this now as use lowers over summer, but at least know what we'll be paying until January. Can already see a hike in the price for July predicted, so worth the gamble?? Decisions, decisions…

Does the 27.26 figure include the 1 April rebate? If it doesn't, I'd say you're on to a good thing if 27.26 > 23.72 next month.
I'm not being lazy ...
I'm just in energy-saving mode.1 -
It's after the reduction. It's 30.76 this month in SW region for the current fix.
