i agree with the school post - at the school i work food are always asking for tins mainly because we lend them out if kids forget theirs and then they forget to bring them back'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0

I've got loads of these now cos I asked work to save them for me. Hadn't got a clue then what I was going to do with them and still havn't but they seemed too good to bin.

I've just saved the one we've finished to use as a first aid box with all the tablets etc in too. (we've just set up out own home together)0

I've used mine to put the christmas decorations in. They pack in really well and have a bit of protection. A lot cheaper than the boxes they're selling at lakeland etc.January budget

Ive got 1 with first aid bits in. 1 with Passport bits in, 1 that i store opened packs of sead, dries fruit etc for cooking..Ive 1 spare!!!2010 is my DO IT year! grow own bits,savvy shopping,organised!!Get a hobby!!! be fit!! be happy!!

Thinking about it mine have been used for storing:
glass christmas tree ornaments - packed around with popcorn
Birthday cards
crayons - in my class
scissors - ditto
leggo - ditto
a really big button box
all the old films/disposable cameras that we have got to get around to getting developed when we can afford it
cakes
biscuits
cookies

Oh I'm a big user of empty sweetie tins.I have all my cake decorating stuff in one,sewing stuff in another,cookie cutters in another,a small one has all the new batteries in,yet another has all the spare markers and pens in,another has first aid stuff in including calpol etc.I could go on for ages but I wont bore you it suffices to say that empty sweetie tins have to be the most versatile free storage container ever!
