As a BPD sufferer, you will no doubt be aware that symptoms are rarely static and people can have rapid and drastic mood changes? You will also be aware people, even professionals, are sometimes oblivious to the needs of people with BPD, and often misunterpret their behaviours as attention seeking and/or histrionic? Lastly, you will know that no two people will have exactly the same experience or can be helped in exactly the same way?

Plus, the very nature of BPD can make these people difficult to understand but that does not mean the OP is lying. There could be many reasons why a couple of posts seem pout of sync. It is not a straightforward illness - as you will be aware.

Well done for overcoming you difficulties but please don't think everyone else will respond the same way!

I do understand this - what I don't understand is how a person was happily going to the Post Office just before Christmas but has become so agrophobic in such a short time that they now can't get to a postbox???. I live in the middle of nowhere and there's still 2 postboxes within walking range  .

I don't know either (only the OP does) but there may be a valid reason.

Perhaps because Christmas is a difficult time of year anyway and the OP has just been told her OH, and carer, will not be returning to England. That would be enough to make most people have a relapse wouldn't it?

I think emailing Mind and the CAB are great ideas and a costructive way forward for you.

Try not to worry about who is, or isn't there anymore. Just say what you want/need to say as whoever it is they will be understanding.

Try not to leave it too long either - could you email the both right now, before you have chance to worry about it?

It may take a day or two for them to respond so the sooner the better from that angle too.

    Good luck.

I've just emailed them both, trying to be as clear as possible

    Thank you for your help.
We also have something here called DISH which helps people who have physical and mental disabilities get the help and benefits they are entitled to, so I may give them a try too. I'll see what MIND and CAB say first.

Actually I have just realised that LM means Borderline Personality Disorder, I thought she meant Bi-Polar Disorder, so we are coming at this from different perspectives.

The reason was because I had someone to escort me. They took me in the car and sorted it out for me. I just waited in the car and even that gave me a panic attack.

And if people must know, it was my leaving care worker who escorted me.

Not having a go at you bestpud. :) Just stating for the record. :)

I'm sorry to have confused you. I didn't know that they had the same initials.

Neither is a great thing to have!

BPD is less understood and probably more difficult to treat though - imho.
