    Hi LM

    Don't be upset by some of what you read - they're just words hun.

    Sorry to hear what's happening with your OH.

    If there's anything you want me to do, such as posting an emailed letter for you, I will.

    As I'm older than you, you have to listen to me:p , so. have you eaten today? Make sure you've had something - even a bit of toast.

    Take care hun. Feel free to pm if you want to offload.

    I'm sorry if I seem rude. I just get so stressed and upset and I'm just so sorry.

    I ate a cracker. Does that count?

    Thank you. That would be really helpful. I'm sorry if I'm putting myself on anyone.

    xx

    I reckon the OP is being a bit economic with all of the facts on this situation;

    Her Fiance gets Carers Allowance to look after her;

    Yet he cannot post a letter for her.

    " My fiancee is due to be paid carers allowance on monday (he uses my bank account as he doesn't have one) and nothing's gone in so far.
    Maybe the day won't change and it will still go in on Monday?

    Have a Merry Christmas everyone.
    "

    From a post made a couple of weeks ago.:rolleyes:

    From a post of earlier today;

    " I'm not making excuses for myself but sometimes I can go weeks without seeing someone. When my fiancee was here, he used to make sure I ate "

    :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

    He phoned up carers allowance from Ireland to tell them that he's not looking after me anymore, actually, seeing as I couldn't phone them, and seeing as how he can't look after me from Ireland.

    ^ A-ha - I knew there was something fishy here :rolleyes: .

    If someone is claiming Carers Allowance for you they can't waltz in and out of your life like that :mad: .

    I actually, genuinely believe that people like sticking lots of labels on themselves these days, as that gives them an excuse to curl up in a ball and hide from the world. Believe me, there are times when I would love to do that, but, at the end of the day, we come into the World alone, and we are ultimately responsible for ourselves.

    I do feel for people with mental problems, but there really is so much help in the UK - IF you ask for it.

    When I was very poorly with my BPD there is NO way on this Earth I could have got myself together enough to join a forum and post, and I didn't care if I was getting benefits or not, I didn't even care if I was alive or dead. My point is, if you can do that, you can ask for help, which is good, and I hope you get it.

    Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow :cool: .

    Yea right...another of your posts posted 25/12/2007,

    " Heylo

    My fiancee and I both get joint income support. I receive DLA and he receives carers allowance for looking after me.

    He has recently just gone on holiday for the Christmas period to visit family. However he may be staying longer than anticipated because his mum is very ill - maybe a couple of months. I know the rules about telling the carers allowance department and I'm going to phone them straight after new years .

    However, when do I have to phone income support to tell them? Before my fiancee moved in I was on the single income support and the severe disability premium. Will I go back onto that until he comes back?

    I really want to tell them as soon as possible because I don't want to be paid extra whilst he is away when I'm not entitled to it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.
    Merry Christmas
    "

    So we can safely assume that your Fiancee paid back the Carers Allowance then?:rolleyes:

    You don't seem rude hun.

    Have another cracker - two's better than one.

    I'm logging off now, but will be back to check how you are later pet.

    have a good day and if there's anything I can do let me know.

    Take care

    1. Don't judge me. There are different degrees of mental health problems. Some people can do some things that others can't and vice versa.

    2. I'm not familiar with carers allowance so I didn't know that he couldn't just leave and plus he told me when he was already in Ireland that he wasn't coming back.

    3. I know the truth and what I can and can't do and I don't need you nitpicking whatever I say and saying I can do more when I can't.

    I came here for help and I am thankful to those that have helped me but now I'm just going to leave this forum, because, as you said, "When I was very poorly with my BPD there is NO way on this Earth I could have got myself together enough to join a forum and post", well I'm not you and just because I can join a forum it doesn't mean that I can go out the house.

    As I said, thank you to those who have helped me, but I can't put up with these posters ridiculing me. My mental health is in a fragile enough state without people here making it worse.

    Nobody was trying to ridicule you, only attempting to get to the true facts of the situation.

    Obviously you have attempted to mislead people with some of your statements, that is hardly deserving of sympathy.

    How have I been trying to mislead people? I have been nothing but truthful throughout my whole time on this forum.

    I leave it at that. I really can't be bothered to get into an argument. I have to salvage what little sanity I have left.
